I wonder why tangs cannot afford to spend money improving the app, went thru hell using it to key in promo code & it can’t work , some item cannot be added into the cart, poor customer service as they cannot solve the issue after multiple email & calls, dragging the matter & sloppy management, can’t believe this is tangs standard.

Just use Shopee or Lazada
If you want something from TANGS, visit a physical store. If you want something online, use literally any other app because it would be better. I spent a premium for the same item on TANGS in the hope that their customer service and delivery is more reliable but it absolutely is not. The item was never delivered and the app shipping is stuck on “Picked-Up”. Nobody ever picks up if you attempt to call support and they do not reply any emails. My money is just lost now.

Frequent password lockout!
Been experiencing frequent password lockout and emails to tangs customer service took 9 calendar days to respond. By then I had already gone to customer service in person to resolve this as I could not reset remotely. Despite resetting password, this phenomenon keeps happening and I have to go IN PERSON to reset my password I urgently need to use the app. I hope Tangs will move out of the Stone Age and into 2023 like the rest of the retailers soon.

One of the worst app I ever used
I forgot the password and I have been trying to reset the password online but I never worked. I have never received any emails for resetting my password.
The only way for me to reset my password was to be at the customer service counter in person. This is year 2022 but I need to do this in order to continue using Tangs’ app, unbelievable!!!
My recommendation is not to bother applying for the membership. It is just to troublesome.

Stocks are not from TANGS
The user interface of the app is okay. But if it is purchased from the App, you can’t pick up from the store even if it is available.
I was told that the inventory are just different between the online store and physical store and they are not flexible to do anything about it. So if you’ve bought online and the delivery is scheduled to 2 weeks later and you happened to see it in store a few days after you bought, there’s no way pick up and go.
It sounds confusing, as afterall this App is using TANGS logo and branding but the stocks are not from TANGS departmental stores.

Worst app, online inventory and system
Would give it a zero star if possible. Every order made was refunded because it was OOS. And customer service only inform OOS 2 days before delivery when order was made 2 weeks in advance. To makes things worst, refund takes another 14 working days 🤣🤣🤣 sounds like a joke

Terrible App Since its Upgrade
Worst online shopping app that I’ve ever used. It used to be good but one fine day, they upgraded the app then almost nothing worked. Each online purchase needs to pray hard that it goes on smoothly and processing speed takes forever. All past orders never captured. The most “amazing” part is after months (perhaps a year now) of upgrade, nothing seems to have fixed! Still facing the same old issues! Just better to go in-store to buy!

This is my 3rd time trying to write an honest review and submit it but somehow, the review just won’t show. Please let it through. This app has improved so much over the past year or so. It would be unfair if its rating remained so low and good feedback about it be rejected… This app is user-friendly, from product search all the way to ordering, tracking orders, and receiving ordered items… Give it time for further improvement if needed. Personally, it’s already pretty decent as it is. Thank you, TANGS!

The new computer programmer is an idiot; the previous Tang’s app had much fewer problems. Couldn’t fix this ‘blank screen’ fiasco for the new app after so many days (or weeks?)! Even transitioning from the old app to the new, there was a lot of inconvenience, with people jammed up at the cashier counter. I suspect the computer programmer is not only incompetent, but also not customer oriented. And why was there no notice given that there would be a new app, and why the need to download a new app in the first place? Should get a new programmer!

The app has been down got weeks. Since 11/11 when I tried to check things out the app showed me blank pages and no transaction info. They told me to shop on their website. But how to earn or redeem rebates without the digital card? I can’t recall where I kept my physical card!

This app is simply horrible, despite multiple attempts to reload personal information, the app crashes and simply doesn’t work. IT solution providers must be sleeping on the job and rectifying issues. Sometimes simplicity is the best. We don’t need to have an app when it doesn’t work 98% of the time. It was already very slow, but it still works then a new UI and revamped was done. It was suddenly an upgrade to the online app experience but now it is a total flop. Search for Brands - nothing is shown. Check my history - nothing is shown. Press home - blank white page. What is the point of this?

This Upgrade is a total failure. The app now looks messy, less premium feeling. And the app is full of bugs. When I tried to contact via email, the function doesn’t even work. LOL
But I guess Tangs invested a lot into this upgrade, now free shipping is only for 200 and above… used to be much less.

Worst app ever
It was working normally when I first downloaded, but then quickly it started to have a gazillion problems. First, the newest products on the website were not shown on the app. Secondly, the login and payment through the app had tons of issues. I couldn’t pay and error messages kept popping out. Now, when I launch the app, the whole screen is blank. You cannot click on anything without it showing a blank screen. When i try to click on my profile, it states - “error”.

Lousy app. I tried to reset my password. And it throws 403 error. Managed to finally set password on chrome and tried again on app. Again 403 error.

Forced to update the Tangs App and got logged out. When I tried to log back in, it says “no active password.” All membership data and points are gone. Ridiculous

Unable to add to cart
I finally decided to move away from the physical card, the app won’t let me create an account as an “existing member” frustrated, I created a new account! Success, was able to log in, but now when I try to add items to cart, it says “error” for every single thing! When I do the same from the tangs web, it works for same products, so don’t tel me those items are out of stock! I would give zero star if possible :(

It does not work. If they cannot make the app work then they should continue the physical card. Trying to cut cost on the physical card by replacing it with an app that does not work shows you do not care abt keeping your customer. This app does not even deserve the one star rating.

App says that it is unable identify my login details even though I am able to use the same login details to sign in on web browser.
App also doesn’t offer troubleshooting options.
Tangs should stop requiring customers to download the app when accumulating points in store if they cannot even get the app to function properly.

Have the same issue with some of the reviewers. I urge Tangs to expedite the process of fixing this issue. Rather frustrating and inconvenient when many of us have long moved away from carrying the physical card. In fact, I don’t even know where my physical card is now!

Cannot log into the app with new phone. The error message kept saying that we can not identify username/password. This problem is only on the app version as I tried on the website version and no issues

After I changed to iphone 11 pro max, I can’t login to the app. Same email and password can login on the website but in the app can’t recognise my email. Please do something. Same as the above reviewer, it’s a mystery why I cannot login on the mobile app, when the exact same details can be logged in on browser, laptops. The error message kept saying it doesn’t recognize my email address or password, when they are 100% correct.

Impossible to register via the app!
I received a text message to download the app and register but found it impossible to do so. I kept receiving an error message that my email add was invalid when there was nothing wrong with it. Am totally puzzled and found the process frustrating.

Membership signups are not working
Tried signing up multiple times (even after the bug fix) but still can’t sign up to convert my membership. The staff still told me that they will be converting all to online membership soon but I can’t sign up still.

Unable to register on the app
I have tried to register on the app after signing up in-person for a Tangs membership. The keeps showing an error message. It’s highly contradictory for the staff to ask us to sign up on the app when the app is not working. Thankfully the cashier staff allows me to just state my NRIC number.

I don’t understand why Tangs staff keeps urging shoppers to use the app when the app doesn’t even function. If you can’t even get the sign up page error-free, stop making people use your app. It’s an embarrassment. Makes for such an unpleasant shopping experience.
