Slow progression and overpriced items.
Ive only started playing this game for less than a day and i’m already getting stuck on its stages. The keys needed to get resources refresh everyday instead of refilling one by one every few hours, most of the methods to get resources are by logging in daily, which means in the meantime you can’t do anything to progress.
The way to get new characters are from eggs, which is hard to obtain without paying money, even so the packs in the game are heavily overpriced and not worth the value. Game is only for whales or people with no excess time to play other games.

Update changes
Started playing the game more recently and was starting to enjoy it. Then when I saw the update drop and the changes implemented I lost all faith in the game. Clearly changes made regarding higher forms are a way to encourage players to spend more money to obtain them. Developers need to realise that to encourage people to spend on their game, they need to improve game quality and have reasonable pricing, not just make rare pets and forms harder to obtain by making in game currency more expensive and lowering drop rates.
This is not the way to do it, and please the 2000 vivid dust isn’t an anniversary reward its to soften the blow that vivid dust costs on higher forms are literally doubling. I want to spend more on this game but devs giving me every reason not to anymore.

GREEDY DEVS, BAD UPDATES
THE DEVELOPERS DECIDED THAT THE 1ST ANNIVERSARY SHOULD BE CELEBRATED BY MAKING THE WHOLE COMMUNITY MAD BY NOT ONLY NERFING THE WAY TO EVOLVE A PET TO ABOVE LEGENDARY BY HALF THE RATE AND DOUBLE THE RESOURCES TO EVOLVE IT! THERE HASN’T BEEN ANY NEW EVENTS BESIDES THE SAME COPY AND PASTE FIGHT A BOSS GIMMICK. EVEN WHEN THE FANBASE WANTS THE DEVS TO HEAR THEM OUT ABOUT CHANGES TO MAKE THE GAME BETTER, THEY BAN THEM INSTEAD!

They casually release an anniversary update increasing the prices and pity by A LOT after the already crazily priced packs. Imagine paying for a pass to see that sudden artificial inflation just devalued everything from the pass. You feel scammed. This game is enjoyable as f2p only, to an extent.
Imagine spending month as f2p to save up for something, only to have the cost suddenly MULTIPLY BY TWO as their anniversary update. That is this dev’s idea of “balancing”. Making things harder to get, not actually fixing or changing anything. They do not cherish their community at all, from the anniversary decisions, lack of old player compensation, undisclosed low rng rates, increasing pity requirements, proactively ignoring suggestions in the official discord. Be warned.

pets need to be levelled to challenge higher levels but as you gain new pets and can form your own team your pets that are already levelled had consumed your exp items and this limits your ability to form your own team. also because of the lack of exp items, you cannot test out other teams. you can’t even get together your team because it’s locked behind paywall and exp limit. event eggs costs $20 for 4, and mostly give the most common eggs (which you can get from slowly farming), astral eggs costs $15+ each (and you can only get 2 at this price) to get the second rarity. this paywall don’t let you get creative to form your team

Chill collector game with low playtime 👍🏽
I love playing hours on games, but with work and now a family, always been looking for something with little commitment. Many games have so many features that to just keep up with the dailys take time, but with this game, you can complete the dailys in just a few minutes, and auto the fights till you lose(manual if you wanna get a little further). The voidpets artwork is also so unique and slowly evolving them gives me such satisfaction. Tbh some sort of pvp, the ability to view other players pets and a buddy list would be great, but it’s good as it is too. Definitely would recommend for casual collectors 😇
