UNABLE TO ADD EZLINK

previously used the app EZ-Link to top up and had no issues, they discontinued and had all its users download SimplyGo instead, however when i try to add the ezlink and topup from here, it was unable to add the card due to it being linked to another account (EZ-Link) BUT THE PREVIOUS APP HAS ALREADY BEEN DISCONTINUED AND I CANT UNSYNC IT FROM THE ACCOUNT SO HOW CAN I TOPUP MY EZLINK

Bring back the old ez link apps

Rated 5 stars for frustrating use case. Let me explain: card balance takes 1-2 days to get updated, including when you top up. So the balance shown on the apps is outdated. When you top up, the balance won’t get updated because it will take 1-2 days. And you can’t check the balance of the card on the apps without topping up. The apps doesn’t allow you to simply scan the card and check the balance! You are forced to top up to view the balance. This workflow must be designed by some imbecile.

Simply lousy

A card can only be added in one account. Father help to top up but has to has mother to delete the card in her account first. Then value is not reflecting true value after topped up. How to provide assurance to us? Simple lousy app.

Top up other cards

Unable to scan, view and top up other cards. Simply junk. You can only add 1 card under 1 account that’s it. If you’re unable to add it into your account you simply CAN’T do anything. EZ-Link apps on the other hand able to fulfill this function.

My EZ-Link cards disappeared from the app. It says it’s already added but I can’t view the card.
I was stuck in the carpark because I can’t top up my EZ-Link cash card and needed to reinstall the old EZ-Link card app to top it up. What is the point of the new buggier application when it can’t even do a basic task correctly?

Cannot Login Using Email Addresses

The app does not allow us to sign in with our email address. I registered for an account years ago using my email and previous mobile number. I had to change my mobile number due to unending streams of crank, nuisance, and scam calls. As a result? I can no longer log into my SimplyGo account because the developers didn’t think to allow users to login with our email addresses. I don’t understand the purpose of having two methods of signing in would allow users to update either the mobile or email should either need to be changed.

Give & Take

App may experience some issues now and then but it usually restored within the day itself. Yes it may be troublesome at times when app crashes but it doesn’t happened all the time. Nothing is perfect. What I appreciate is it quickly gets resolved. I use it for whatever I need like top up or travel guide. But when I experience issues, there are many other ways to get it done.

Topping up for cards not in account

If you live in a bigger household, typically cost are shared among few working adults for parents/kids transport.
In the old ex-link app, it allows me to top up cards that are not added in my account.

Do not upgrade your EZ link until bugs fixed

This app is so buggy and system implementation is absolutely horrible. First, you can no longer see your fair from the console and gantry on bus and MRT, it shows a meaningless “simplygo” word instead, you have to rely on the app to check your care balance, HOWEVER, the app is so buggy sometimes it doesn’t load the balance on your card (it will be the spinning cycle of death for a very long time) and now you have no idea how much you need, worse, at times it doesn’t even register the last trip you took until much later. You get notification of the last trip you took within minutes of alighting a bus or exiting an MRT station, BUT that is when the app works, at times it doesn’t and you get no notification at all and you just have to hope when you open the app it will load. One last thing?, if you are someone who always use es-link as a form of payment in 7-11, Mcdinalds and other merchants, upgrading the card will disable you from doing that, you can no longer use the card to buy things, I am not sure if that’s how it is, but that’s my experience. All in all, I get the idea of going digital but the implementation makes it a very frustrating experience, that’s speaking from someone has been using apps for ages, now imagine how lost it would be for seniors or someone who aren’t family with techs. Until they have fixed all the issue, don’t upgrade your ez-link.

Can’t believe Malaysia VEP app is better than this SimplyGo ! So many bugs ! Can’t replace my existing credit card as there were bugs. So instead need to delete all my vehicles and then need to wait 4 days ! And after 4 days I still can’t add new card until a staff need to manually delete my old card then I can add my new credit card. After that then can add back all my 3 vehicles. And then now need to wait for another 4 days !!! This is ridiculous! Please upgrade your solution or replace with a new vendor that can provide you a better application !

Give option to hide ezlink wallet on homepage. Others may want to use but not in our use case and it is occupying space. On top some more. Or allow option to reassign to below. Also allow text resize. My eyesight is good can see but what about seniors or those who are visually challenged? SG striving to be inclusive society, right? This APP is designed to value add to a daily staple affair for those using public transport, right? Homepage can be more user friendly with options for user to decide what appears there. Bad App, Horrible & Waste of Users’ Time

I’ve always top up my travel card at the machine, decided to try updating via app. TOTALLY REGRET!! Firstly, it’s weak, takes a long time & several attempts and when it managed to, the top up somehow screwed up my card. I’m holding a Concession card with discounted fares, after the top up, SimplyGo system switched my card to charge Adult fares thereafter to my horror! E.g. Concession fare for the route I took should be $1.40, I was charged $1.98. Won’t go into details on the rest. Tried submitting overcharged claims via app, doesn’t even give the option to indicate overcharged fare amount. Simply at the mercy of SimplyGo lor. Got reply that they didn’t see any discrepancies in all my claims and closed me off!! Staff checking Simply Lazy. I wonder whether they really bother. What’s their fare calculator for? Sigh, Simply at mercy of SimplyGo. I’m not someone who would usually give feedback but I’ve been so frustrating with this app until I’m compelled to comment.

Needs more brain in developing this app

It does not make sense that when you wanna a create a family group, it requires a mobile number tagged to the simply go card. Hey come on, my children are all primary schoolers and they dont even have a phone. But if i put my mobile number on their behalf, it is not allowed as my mobile number is already tagged to my card. That makes it impossible to create group for ease of purchasing concession via the app. Another thing is the transaction details and card balance is not real time. So this is a big let down! I’ll forever be using the ezlink app. So much better.

Gotten worse with the updates

Used to depend on this app to track the amount of fare expenditure from x date to x date. With the recent update, it was removed and now opens up to a new “monthly view” that limits the filter to the transactions for the month.
It made tracking incredibly tedious because you now have to track overall month instead of a preferred period basis. Tried to live with this update until today when I logged into the app (2 June), realised the whole May total transaction value is gone. 😑

New spending bar graphs are horrendous

I absolutely detest the new bar graphs. They do not reflect the amount spent within the month accurate. Instead, it posts the cumulation of reference bills for that was charged by a certain within the month, which could consist of spillovers rides from the last few days of the previous month.
The previous system where you can select the dates in a calendar to track the spendings was much simpler, accurate, and intuitive to use. Unfortunately, I highly doubt there is any incentive for the team to revert back to it. Nevertheless, consider providing these two methods of viewing in a future update

Sucky app - not user friendly

Wrote in to bring up the issue that my child’s concession card is not in sync with the app. The amount in the app is at least 3 weeks outdated and all the expenditures are not reflected in the app for the last 3 weeks. The wrote back to ask for the CAN ID but after back it was radio silence for the last 6 months.
The auto top up function also does work when you use the card outside of the transportation environment.
Neither does the app allows you to check amount unlike the old EZ-Link app.

Soso still a lot of issues

After years of trying, finally i can add my bank card in. Can top up for my parents but the pricing isn't reflected on the cards correctly. Plus the ezlink rewards is in rm instead of sgd which is so weird. Is this not govern by Singapore authorities anymore? Is it sub out to foreign countries to do like many businesses? Still a very bad app. Dbs bank card as ezlink is still the best.

Unable to remove auto top up in app

I want to change to a new EZ-Link charm but I am unable to remove auto top up in my old ezlink charm. Unable to see monthly transactions & top up amount

Hi developers, App are totally change after merged with ezlink App. I notice the transaction detail always note accurate after even 5 days, although the App pop-out a note, “transaction may take 2-3 days to reflect “, The exact transaction still won’t reflect in the App itself. Furthermore, “edit date range” feature is not working. I try to input 1/Oct - 13/Oct, The transaction list didn’t show any past transaction. Very convenient

The app is easy to use and makes our life more convenient with arrival times of different transport in Singapore. Also can top up easy link card with this app at home.
But can you make the app refresh more frequently?

Horrible app and customer service who doesnt want to understand your problem.
Changed credit card for auto topup on app and status reflects the new credit card. However upon calling customer service they said transactions will still go to the old app if not deactivated. This is illogical. Then why make that function to add card and allow option of another card on app? Pls pls work on your app and make it work properly. Wld give it negative stars if i could.

Loading is ridiculously slow

Deleted the app and reinstall the app as it was running very slow in loading and unable to do any top up, thought was becos of my old phone transferring to new phone but turns out it still the same, everything is running so slow like snail. Card Balance is not updating after 24 hours

First time trying to use SimplyGo to top up my girl student concession card and the balance is not refreshing to the latest balance. I thought it was something wrong with my previous top up transaction and I did another time. Same the balance did it get updated. Stuck at email check and password

This new app requires to set up log in and password. I’ve done the verification movile OTP, but can’t proceed to the next stage. I’ve deleted, re downloaded and turned off and turned on my phone. Selective card detection??

I previously had no problems scanning and topping up value for my son’s concession card. Recently however, my NFC is unable to detect his ez-link card. No, my NFC is not faulty as it is still able to detect and top up adult’s ez-link card easily. Same issue with my husband’s phone too. Instead of it being efficient, it has been a hassle for us now that we have to go down to either the ATM or transit-link office to top up. Called help/line but they didn’t give an explanation as to why this is happening and matter cannot be resolved. Please. Do. Better.

Bug found, no channel for feedback

Some feedback to share:
When trying the new version of the apps, an obvious bug is found under Travel Guide>MRT. It stuck at step 2-select destination page, cannot reset/ return to step 1. Apparently, there is no clear & direct way to feedback on this issue. The Addy Chatbot is really not smart enough, it’s no more than a FAQ menu.
The MRT map is too small & miserable to use.
Much to improve, hope to see a much better version soon.

Changing email address

After the merge with Ez Link, i no longer can use my Simply Go app because Ezlink app is still using my old email.I have stopped using Ez link app long time ago. This became an issue for me as i can no longer top up using the ATM machine too.
When i called customer service, i was told to email them and wait 3 to 5 days working days. While waiting for their response, i had a difficult time because i had to ask my family member to top up my card using their app first. I had to trouble them to check on my balance too.
After 5 working days, still no response from customer service. I called again. I was told to send another email.
This frustrates me because all they had to do was change my email add. But up till now still no solution!

Unable to log in after new update.

After update , key in phone number and verified and proceed to next stage but still on the same page unable to go to the next stage. I think there is a glitch on the app. Please help to rectify it.

Card usage history seems to be late….

How to check the accuracy if the history is late by almost one day….. Something is wrong somewhere… I thought the history supposed to real time? Yes, the recent update is a poor release without quality check…. It’s also hard to navigate the interface, who is the UI/UX developer behind it? Scrum/agile Methodology cannot be the reason for the poor delivery. Who is the developer behind it? Please fixed it.

UI needs work

almost half the screen is wasted. homepage: 40% of the screen is chatbot, unskipable banner and ez link stuff. not everyone use them all the time. it should be something people want to see straightaway in big bold text. either balance or transaction history. and not everything jammed into 1 page. travel guide: 30% of the screen is title (?!), search bar, and tabs. the craziest is the card transaction history page. on page load, only 20% is the transaction history list which only enough for 2 items, since the item view is in cards. and it isn't immediately scrollable. so while waiting, we have to see the rest 80% showing questionably useful elements: title (this big again?!), card info (which should be in the homepage alrd), date picker (which clearly doesn't need those many labels and buttons just for selecting date range). just preload first 1-2 cards on app load, instead of refreshing every time, especially if the API performance is not that fast. it's a wallet app. just copy apple wallet UI and hide everything else in a menu somewhere.

Credit card top up not working

Apple Pay top up option is no longer available after the recent app update. Tried adding a new credit card for top up, the app charged a $0.10 checking fee and tried to open a page on the browser, but nothing happened after that and when I opened the app again, it told me the card adding attempt failed. I had this problem with the EZ-Link app and now they brought the problem over to the SimplyGo app. “Great” job guys.

Top up issue using paylah

I had the same issue with one of the reviewer. I top up my card using paylah as recommended by the app. The money was deducted from my paylah account but not updated in my card. Maybe you the app should not have this paylah top up option if it doesn’t work.

Incorrect/Not Updated Card Balance

Upgraded my ezlink card to a simplygo card. A few days later, i opened the simplygo app to check my card balance but it is not updated. This is even after i have top up my card and took a few bus/train rides. The balance still shows the initial amount when i first registered my card on the simplygo app. I tried to troubleshoot by using the scan card details function to re- register my card. The initial balance was correct but after that it defaulted to the incorrect and not updated balance. Such a bad app... Old ezlink app was so much better and more convenient.

A step backwards in convenience

No way to tell the balance on your card when tapping at the gantry. When you’re denied at the gantry, you have to spend time opening the app to top up and wait for it to load. The past ez-link system was a no-fuss, idiot-proof system that is similar to everywhere else in the world- no need for constant effort to open the app and check your balance. This system only makes things more difficult and draining when issues happen after a long work day.

Ease of convenience, but more to improve

This application has brought good convenience however, the interface can be better improve in its reliability and functionality.
For example, the reader cannot show the remaining balance for the EZ-Link holder. Not every old folks are tech savvy to use the application to track their balances. For example, include languages such as Chinese.
The refund claim option does not seem to be working. It is unfair for users to be charge extra and not be able to lodge a complain.
Understand that we are moving forward to digitalise, however please solve the reliability of this application first. Hear more feedback from the ground before implementing these systems.

Top-up of my EZ-link Concession

I had been experiencing lots of issues with the EZ-link up since trying to update & manage add new bank card since last week. Have called up EZ-link hotline & my bank to troubleshoot my top-up issues.
I had deleted & restored both EZ-link & mobile bank apps but still unable to resolve the issue. As of now, I have emailed & sent screenshots to EZlink & Bank. EZ-link says this might take 2-3 days to resolve.
After being sent on a roller coaster ride, I have decided to download the SIMPLYGO App & try the top-up process.
So here is the solution:
I did not try this earlier because your customer service officer had mentioned that it doesn’t matter whether you are using the EZ-llink or SimplyGo App cos you are in the midst of a merger. Both will work just as well.
Having been told it could be due to the IOS update issue, a manual digital token not deleted etc. etc.
The problem lies with the EZ-link App.
This has caused much inconvenience to me as a result of time wasted trying to settle this issue. This is my feedback in case you encounter future difficulties from other customers. Your customers would prefer a more immediate solution to their problems instead of having to self diagnose.

Refresh/Sync Lag

I realised my card had no more money so i was unable to tap in gantry so i topped it up on site. I topped up $30 and tried tapping in after a minute, 2 minutes and it still doesn't update. I closed my app and opened again with my value being $30 but i still couldn't tap in... had to use my bank card which costs me more $$$...

Notifications

It’s really inconvenient that we can’t see our balances when we tap in and out. But what’s the point when the app doesn’t even notify us when the balance is low. I have amended my notification several times now but all I get are how much each trip costs, not alerts when my card is out of cash, it’s ridiculous. I’ve been trapped at the gantry more than a handful of times because of this. Pls at least fix the notifications

Unable to View Fare Transection

Hi, the app is very done. The only issues my family and I have as a computer using this as to EZ-Link card is we are unable to see travel deduction at each entry and exit contact point fare deduction and balances immediate. Another issue, is the difficulty in topping up on school concession or each individual card. As a family with children we holding various kind of EZ-Link, SimplyGo or other personal card. This will unable us as a commuter use to top balances whenever it is required travelling in various transport system for our journeys.

Love this App

Wish I don’t need to carry my concession card, just scan with my phone.
Concerned with privacy of my trip data. What is it use for?
Otherwise this App is good despite the recent negativity in the news. Easy to top up, review trip history and balance money.

Added cards automatically gets removed from the app

This is not the 1st time it happened that couple of my added cards simply gets deleted from the app by themselves.
All other cards remain available, but missing 1-2 cards. The next day, missing cards reappear again in app.
Get your IT guys reproduce the issue and try to fix it.

Buggy App

Downloaded app and used SimplyGo after LTA announcement.
1. Log in with FaceID had always failed despite authorising to use facial biometrics to login. Had to result to typing phone number and password every time to log in.
2. System failed to add my visa credit card on the first try even after successfully deducting the deposit of $0.10 from bank payment page. Finally succeeded on the 6th try of adding my visa credit card into the system, which should’ve been done right on the 1st try.
3. App fails to send notifications of fare deduction after tapping out at all despite indicating that it can send fare deduction notifications after tapping out.
Overall the systems of SimplyGo is a failure and I will not recommend installing and using their platform for transit.

Able to see public transport transactions

This version improved the speed of performing transactions/actions in the app.
In addition, this app is good to see public transport transactions across my cards.
Aside from this, I hope that features like “Express Transit Cards” or SimplyGo digital card could be enabled in the near future for users who use Apple Pay.

Time waster

Stupid app, tried to register my other ezlink card so that i cld top up. they sent me a notif telling it has already been registered but i can never see my second card in ‘my cards’ tab. & it’s so slow too. tried 5 times but then aftr that it jst showed the notif where my card has already been registered, then why is not popping up? dont evenk os if this review is going to change anything. read other reviews abt this app not being able to top up ezlink cards as well. No point to even have this app on your phone. So dumb. Please do smtg if not this is jst another useless app thats jst storage consuming. Lol end up i have to go down and physically top up my card. Useless app.

Never download or switch to simplygo

This app serves no purpose. Everytime you top up online, your card will fail and needs to be updated at a ticket office/passenger service. The assistant at the ticket office told me that even after topping up online, you still have to go down to get your card updated. Then what’s the point of the app? Also, if you downgrade to simplygo, then you are unable to see your value left whenever you tap in/out. Essentially this app grants you a fake sense of security that you won’t ever be caught without money in your card, which you will be even if you top up your card online.

Delayed Updates and Short Refund Period

I have some concerns that there might be factors affecting the ease of making refund claims. SimplyGo is an app that experiences some delays in the updating process. Transactions can sometimes take quite a while to appear, and sometimes the card usage updates can take days, with the system constantly showing a ‘Pending’ status. In the past, we used to see the fare deducted immediately by tapping our cards when getting off the bus. However, the new app that has replaced the previous system doesn’t update the fare deduction immediately. This delay in updating transactions is something worth addressing. Furthermore, there are typically 1 to 2 mistakes in a month, and the scanner doesn’t provide any feedback sound when I tap the card. Unfortunately, I couldn’t claim one refund due to the short refund period of 2 weeks. Firstly, the transaction updates are consistently delayed. Secondly, 2 weeks is a very brief window for disputes. Banks typically provide 2 months for such matters. I kindly urge you to take these concerns seriously and consider improving the system’s efficiency and user-friendliness. It not only affects the convenience for users but also their trust in the service.

Can be improved

I’ve been experiencing two long standing bugs that have been bothering me for a long time.
No. 1: The custom order of the cards that we can set by dragging and dropping the cards keeps getting reset! I don’t know how and when it is reset. This is super annoying.
No. 2: Push notifications notifying the trip fare don’t work consistently, more so when it’s rush hours. They’re either sent super late or never sent at all.

can’t top up

when i tapped on the Top Up tab, it keeps showing “No cards available, unable to find any registered card for top up” Despite i’ve already registered all my cards, the app still able to show my cards’ balance, even though it can’t even show my trip history too! Lousy app! Such a great disappointment! Just look at the same repeated response from the developer… “Thanks for your feedback. We have resolved the issue. Please try again. Thank you.” i’m wondering is this an auto-replying bot machine replying to all these review comments from app users???!!!”

Very slow reflection each trip for balance update

Recently, I have found that every time I scan my card, I receive a card usage message ten minutes later, sometimes even half an hour or more than an hour later. Why is this happen?

Missing Tap In record and exit record

I am charged >$70 extra for the error "missing entry" "missing exit". Tried submitting each claim one by one, and it is just a waste of time. I used Apple Pay from the same device for the entry and exit, but the system just don't recognise and charged me full fare due to missing entry and exit. Called SimplyGo hotline, was advised to submit claims one by one as they are not authorised to review all the trips with missing "entry" and "exit", and subsequently rectify the errors due to their system failure.
Please exercise extra caution and look through your transactions after each trip. Otherwise, they are earning extra dollars from millions of users in Singapore.

Unstable

Used the app to top up my card and it didn’t go through so i tried again. It worked the second time and i made sure to keep an eye out for the bank statement to check if they have deducted twice. They did deduct twice so now i have to trouble myself to get a refund… My tip for all of you who uses this app to top up: Keep an eye out incase you encounter something like me. You can only favourite up to 10 bus stops so it is actually quite inconvenient as well. Sometimes it takes ages to load your card balance so definitely check if you have enough beforehand. To top it off, you can’t see your balance when you tap in/out anymore. It is super inconvenient. Absolutely horrible. Also, even though (i thought) transferring from bus to bus at the same bus stop do not deduct any amount, you won’t be able to ride if your card has lesser than $3 after the first bus. It is very silly.
