Notifications cannot be disabled
Despite giving us toggles for different notifications, turning those toggles off does not turn those notification off. I even sent in a support ticket for it and yet there are still constant notifications and reminders flooding in.

Lovely app, but problem with emoji
I love using Threads to connect to different crafters and artists across the world, and the people on the app are equally lovely!
However, I’ve been having an issue where once I add one emoji, my whole keyboard seems to stop working. I can’t enter anymore text, I can’t backspace, I can’t add more emojis, nothing. I can only press “Post”. I think it might be a bug with the app? I’d appreciate if it could be fixed soon :)

The amount of hatred towards people of colour and vulnerable communities on his platform is appalling. Whats strange was how the algorithm chose to push this content to my threads account despite the fact that my instagram feed was the complete opposite.

Frequent silent notifications that can’t be disabled
Highly disliked the red notifications that can’t be disabled, such as someone posting a new thread recently. The only way to rid the red dot alerts is to download the app and open it 🤦🏻♀️ I’m not a fan of seeing random people’s threads on my Insta home page either. It’s the reason why I dislike and escaped Twitter - it’s full of sassy hot takes and depressing posts forcibly shown in my timeline. And now it’s on my Instagram whenever I scroll. This isn’t the way to drive traffic, but causes a lot of frustration. Let us have a curated feed and at least posts from people we follow for once.

I have just had downloaded and followed the same people i followed in Instagram. Not even understand how to use the app since i never use and like Twitter kind of crap.

Meta is forgetting where they came from
Facebook and Instagram didn’t start out as a social network to consume brand content, it started out as a place to keep in touch with people you know.
Because it hasn’t achieved any sort of critical mass the few people you do know that are on threads are getting drowned out by mass consumption generic content turning the whole network into brain rot.
People are desperately looking for a Twitter replacement, and Meta is squandering a a multi billion dollar opportunity.

Bug that logs you out.
Many have encounter the bug of being logged out of Instagram when trying to use Threads and vice versa. The application does not seems seamless yet. Until the app is fixed it is not great to use as an alternative to Twitter.

Unable to follow the account when we click on the user’s link when they share on IGS. Have to go into Thread and key in the user’s handle in order to follow.
If did not follow all the IG followers during set up, unable to follow all of IG after account is set up.
Looking forward to an upgraded version where it can fulfil the above gap that’s mentioned.
