The worst ban ever
So i was inactive for abit i made alot of friends on this app and just because of some strange reports i got banned. I corresponded to the email and they instantly deleted my account. Never bothered to check from my end and cited political talk which i never engage in simply because i think politics is stupid. Loads of people on this app talk politics but somehow i get banned for absolutely no reason why. I even get harassed daily by people of other nationalities using this app for inappropriate purposes and i cant even learn the asian languages i want to. Its so dumb that it doesnt make sense. And i dont see how i can even be reported for political issues as i had friends of almost every nationality on that app aka the US, China, Asia and EU too. That is literally the most dumbest ban ever. And they still didnt care. Terrible admins.

Account being suspended for no reason!
I just start using the app for 3 days, haven’t even start match with anyone. I didn’t provide false information on my profile either. My account being informed that someone reported me. System informed me to submit my selfie video to proof for my identity but you didn’t provide me the proof what I done for causing the account being suspended which is very unreasonable.

Unable to delete account
I was unable to delete my account and got logged out with no other solution to login again. All my personal data is still in the account.
I have sent out to the developer team but none of them get back to me. If still no response, I seek legal advice for further action of personal data protection act.

Had been a vip user for 4 years, the people in HT are awesome but the app itself is getting more & more ridiculous. Even if your post is irrelevant to politics but with some words that might be associated with it, the whole post will literally get blocked & nobody can see it. Tried dropping a message & totally no response from the team. I demand an explanation or refund for my VIP!!!

My posts not getting featured anymore?
Hello there’s a problem with my moments, nobody is liking my latest post, it has 0 likes and comments, previously I get at least 30 likes for whatever content I post. I believe I have not been featured on the Homepage as much, there must be a change in the algorithm where you guys decide who to feature. Please let me know what is it that’s changed. I also realised there is 5 dollar vip membership, and there is a 10 dollar vip monthly membership. What is the difference and is it because I need to get the 10 dollar one in order to get featured again. If it is please just let me know. It’s not fair that my posts simply not get featured as much even though I paid for the previous vip membership. Hellotalk has been helping me get enough learning partners and getting me through difficult times living in a new country. Now who’s gonna help me if I don’t get featured anymore? Please please help. Horrible app block functions on users based on fake reports
Horrible app. Block functions just because jealous people are making reports. And the app only listens to one side!! The reply feedback is useless! Corresponded with their admin but to no avail, now blocking my account entirely citing I promoted my product which (1) I wasn’t aware it wasn’t allowed, (2) my intent wasn’t to promote my product but to tell my friends what I was doing and (3) it was taken down once they notified me. However, they are still barbarically blocking me after I deleted my account. Ridiculous group of admin of this China app.

Good app, but with some issues
The app is very effective in allowing you to chat with others and chat with native speakers. However I think it is confusing why they do not allow unlimited translations and that you need to watch an ad to get more. I also do not understand why they block out the visitors page.

Post videos in our moments?
Love the app and it has definitely given me an opportunity to practice the language I am learning as well as befriend native speakers of said language! I do hope we could share videos in our moments, though! Would be a great feature to add apart from just photos or voice.

A “like comment” function
Hey great job for making it such a wonderful tool to learn a language. I’ve made visible improvements in my target language because of this app in the past year or so and bought the lifetime membership. Would like to offer a suggestion for allowing your users to like comments, it would be really convenient since sometimes we might not have the time to reply to all comments under our posts, but don’t want to be seen as ignoring people who commented. Really hope this can happen!

Disappointed.
I couldn’t find anyone to chat with for more than a day, couldn’t find a person willing to interact with me in the language that I wanted to be good at. What’s the point of having an app lying around here if it’s not going to get me anywhere! And well, this disappointment is a total understatement of the feelings I have accumulated while using this app.

Great app but there’s a bug so I can’t call
The previous time, my friend and i tried to call each other at least 10 times before we could finally receive each other’s call. It happened again and we cant get through no matter what.

Ridiculous one account per device policy
I have a shared device and Hellotalk does not allow the others who share my device sign up for an account.
This is ridiculously stupid. Expecting users to have a new device in order to sign up for an account.

Love the moments but...
Hi i love the moments feature, and the group feature. However i hope that hellotalk need to fix their connectivity. I keep crashing when im loading messages and it takes century to load messages. 2nd, there are many of these phonies putting “english” as a native language because free members can’t select more than one language as native /fluent language. I urge hellotalk to make at least 2 native laguage and 2 learning languages for free members , and 5 for vip members

Suggestion
Hey Dev, it would be good if we could select more than one language for Mother Tongue. Some of us grew up speaking more than one language. I grew up speaking both English and Mandarin Chinese, and now I’m in a dilemma over which to choose!
If there are worries about people adding additional ‘mother tongues’ which they are in fact weak in, I’d suggest a high-level proficiency test as this would ensure that they are strong in the language they intend to select.

This is a great app to use for language learners as we can contact fellow language learners.
However, in the moments section, I think it’ll be great if a edit function is added to edit our post rather than delete and repost again.

i’ve used this app in the past to learn japanese and i enjoyed my experience thoroughly. however, when i recently downloaded the app again to learn korean, i’ve realised it always crashes when i go onto the moments section. i’m really frustrated, i tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone, nothing works. please fix this! i’m using ios 11.3

Great app for language and international networking
Other than bugs here and there and some minor glitches from time to time, this app is really great! I made a few great friends from places of interest, and overall, it got me going to learn the language, and become more confident in speaking and writing it ( which is imperative if you really want to learn the language). Moreover, it's platform make socialising really easy ( like posts you can share to everyone who is related to the language you learn and teach etc. :)

User-friendly & Engaging!
Got to talk to many natives in the spoken language that I chose, allowing me to improve my language (in my case, Japanese)! Able to write posts as well, which is really nice. Natives can correct your errors/ sentences and audio message etc. A good way to improve!

Excellent learning tool
This app gets it right. Learning from native speakers is the right way to learn a new language. On top of that, you make new friends, something which you don't get from textbooks.
Certainly looking forward to seeing more improvements on the app to aid in learning.

Awesome app!
This is one of the app that people should download instead of game apps or drama apps.. This app allows you to socialize with people from all around the world, get to learn their language and make new friends! I've been using this app for a month now and I can proudly say that I learned to read Hangul!! It's amazing!!
