I used to have the App on iPhone 12 Pro. Ever since I upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro, the scan using phone camera doesn't work anymore. When I launch the App, the camera always show a black screen.

Very bad
Today I was rushing to print documents for my appointment. To my horror, my printer was taken off from my app and they paused my account as now they have this stupid subscription model. I had to make payment before I can continue printing. I hardly print and I haven’t even used 90% of my starter ink (that comes with the printer) and I have to start paying for new ones. What a scam. I don’t recommend HP, and I don’t recommend this current model. The one style is much better. Don’t buy HP2700 deskjet series as well. Every time I switched on there is error code and I have to print out to know what’s the issue. Majority of my printed papers came from these forced to print error codes. What a scam and how HP has stooped to such Low levels.

Duplex print is possible remotely for HP Envy 6020
I feedback to HP that printer Envy 6020 can’t duplex print remotely. It was a year ago. Today, 3 August 2022 I attempted again to print remotely with duplex print with long edge checked in the setting. Finally it’s working. They addressed my concern hence I gave 4 stars

Absolute trash app
To use my printer, i have to first connect to the useless wifi from the printer that doesnt even allow me to connect to the internet, then i have to go into the app, click connect to “new printer” even though ive connected to my printer a THOUSAND times, then they redirect me to a webpage that FORCES you to login to your hp account before you can use your printer. this is absolutely and utterly the worst application on the app store after those horrifying chinese games you see on advertisements. Oh and every time you open the app they constant harass you by asking you to blow money on their ink renewal plan. i dont want it. stop asking me. i dont and never will want your ink plan.

The worst app but necessary !
I have a HP Deskjet 3050 printer which is an old model. Getting the App to recognize the printer and connect to it is like a game of roulette.
You have to launch the App first and then switch on the printer for the app to recognize the printer. On most occasions the App will terminate the connection after one job. We have again do a printer reset for the app to recognize the printer.
It is printing hell - to be honest.

Issue with opening the app

Best HW Interface Utility App
Super easy to connect, scan, print, save, edit, upload, track, purchase or anything else, this app really does a lot.
Throughout the entire time I have owned my printer (Deskjet 2620) which is about 1.5 years, I never once connected it to a PC, because this app is so comprehensive that I never needed to.
Additionally the online WhatsApp support when I had a HW issue about 6 months ago was first class.
Highly recommend the HW and the App.

Lousy interface
For some reason, the app does not allow me to choose double-sided printing (nothing happens when I tap on it). Never had this problem with the older app and my old HP printer. And for some ridiculous reason, if I forego using HP Smart to print, my A4 documents get resized into a much smaller printout even though paper is still A4! Super frustrating!

Lousy camera scan
Ever since the recent update, the camera scan feature was crappy. There’s no auto function to auto-detect the document alignment and enhance edit the wordings automatically. The background is not white enough to look like it was scanned from the scanner.
HP shouldn’t have stir the pot on the camera scan function. It’s was perfect until the new update.

Document cannot not be printed directly.
There is no printer logo. I have to copy to HP smart . Then print from there. And also I cannot control color, double sided function when the printing page comes up. It was working well until you change your agreement and HP smart.

App not as good as used to be
After the update, the photo editing tools failed miserably. Previously you could adjust the size of the photo to fit into the paper size, now you no longer able to do that and it makes a whole lot more troublesome as you need to redo the photo in order to fit into the paper size. Can the app developers bring back the previous editing tools. That will be great

App often does not recognise scanner source
The HP Smart app purportedly is able to allow users to scan documents from their printer remotely and it works when the target device is on the same wifi network as the printer. However once you are away, say in the office, the app often fails to list the scanner as a source even though the app shows the printer as connected.

Fantastic app
Easy and straightforward to use. Automatically detects printer. Is compatible with Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, iCloudDrive, OneDrive and just about any other cloud storage service. For goodness sake how do I set the password when setting up time didn’t even ask to set up for password?? Keep going round n round again but no availability to start. And this apps simply just ‘jam’ at the page on showing us to reconnect back to our wifi and.. THATS it. Couldn’t swipe anyway for further instructions ?? This is worst part.
