Changed to iPad Air 2 from iPad mini and all my subscriptions are gone. Support is useless as well.

Instability
It is a joy to know that newsweek has progressed to saving the earth by ceasing print edition of the magazine. However, downloading it onto the iPad is a chore. I have experienced multiple episodes whereby downloading is not possible. As a result, I have lost many issues. I am a regular subscriber to newsweek, pre-paying in advance for my reading pleasure. Unfortunately at a consumer point of view, I feel cheated; paying for merchandise I never get to receive. Multiple emails were sent to the customer service but to no avail. I never get a reply nor advice on how to rectify the situation. These was all in 2013. Then 2014 came, hopefully all be better. But to my dismay, I woke up with a rude shock from the app on my iPad, saying that my subscription has expired and will no longer be able to download! How is that possible when I have paid up to 2016!
Newsweek, rectify this issue ASAP or I will not hesitate to seek recourse to what is due to me.

Unable to restore purchases
I lost all my previous purchases with this new update and am unable to login to view them. It's a shame that I'm can't read Newsweek any longer. Perhaps it's time to switch to Times.

Unable to download and restore purchases
After upgrading to the new version, i have not been able to restore my purchases, neither 3G nor wifi. It's a real pain using this app. I have decided to just stop reading newsweek totally, go for Time and Forbes instead

Subscription Cannot be Downloaded
The first issue can be downloaded. When the next issue (2nd issue) is available I was notified to download it. After two days there was an update for the 2nd issue, I was then notified again. But, when I tried downloading the update, it says the 2nd issue file is invalid.
Since then, my second issue cannot be downloaded and there is a buy button instead of a 'download' button and it prompts to purchase the issue again while I am on subscription.
I have tried re-install the app and did a hard-reset on my iPad, but the problem still persists. You should consider before downloading this app and purchasing the subscription.

Not working for Asian print subscribers
As a print subscriber in Singapore, I can't create an account in the app using either my account number printed on the mailing label or my name & address. Extremely disappointed! Discrimination?

As a print subscriber, I am not able to access any my subcribed copies. Useless.

Future of magazine distribution
This is a great app, though yes I have noticed infrequent crashing. This is a problem however with all the other online news magazines as well, possibly related to downloading errors. The low scores, I believe, are objections to the in-app purchasing of the weekly magazines, which frankly is a bit absurd.
Between the Newsweek offering and other digital magazines, all have slightly different takes on how to represent print newpapers digitally. However I believe Newsweek has stayed truer to source, and it still has that magazine "feel" of flipping through the pages.
If you are a Newsweek reader and own an ipad I would wholeheartly recommend this app. You get the latest editions before they are available in stores, at a cheaper price, and you do your bit for the environment.. The magazines will always be available for your reference, which resolved my personal dilemma of where to store my old copies!

Good but no delete function
Took up 24 weeks subscription. Generally it is good but strangely no delete function. One may want to delete old issues to save on storage space. It is also good if video and audio could be incorporated. Zinio is a good reference point. Thank you.

Unstable, good overall
The apps is good layout and easy to use. However it crash often especially at the beginning and changing orientation.
Another problem is this apps don't work in library mode unless you turn on in-apps purchase. That is uncomfortable for me because I like it off and open only in-app purchase required. Even I purchased the subscription, still need in-app on!!!
