Literally only needs to do ONE thing, and it can’t even do that. All ok with authenticating transaction on the bank side, but the app flat out refuses to top up my cashcard. A ONE TRICK PONY and it can’t even do that one trick.

Troublesome to type credit card info
iOS has credit card camera but this payment app doesn’t even utilize this feature. Even after typing all the credit card info & press the submit button, you may ended up with the app hanging. There isn’t an animated “waiting” logo so you won’t know if it’s hung or takes longer time to complete the payment.

Auto Top = not working. Paid for $50 Security Deposit. Not sure what it for. at the end, top up the card manually using the apps.
Store card information = not working. need to tap your card every time you need to check the card history, amount etc.

Unreliable
This app is very unreliable especially the auto top up. It works only once a while and you won’t know why it didn’t work. Many times stuck in gantry simply because it refuses to auto top up by itself.
I also got to re log in each and every time u open the app.
Hopefully the programmers can work to solve the auto top up issue because we only have one app to use for cashcard top up, with new IU unit being at the side it’s so inconvenient to take in and out the cashcard.

For goodness sake, please do something to improve!!! This is one of the worst Apps. Can’t use PayNow, can’t store card details and only allows $100 top up each time. Doesn’t allow auto top-up for a higher value than $50. Its just ridiculously poor thought process and user experience

It’s my first time using this to top up my card.. i made the mistake of topping up $50. It scan my flashpay without any prob initially but when i’m supposed to scan the card one more time to complete the top up, it cannot scan the card. Tried many times it was only able to scan much later. Else another hassle need to contact them since they already charged my cc.

Poor user experience
I use both EZ-Link app and Nets app to top up my respective cards for my car. The process of creating an account, adding a card, setting up credit card details, and topping up the card is so much more effortless on the EZ-Link app.
Nets app team, pls consider some changes:
1. Allowing copy-paste and not only "autofill" for the password field - many users copy and paste their passwords from a password manager
2. Informing users clearly upfront that using Amex card to top up must pay 50 cents and not only finding out after already filling the details and just before payment
3. Informing users upfront that they should create an account if they wish to save credit card details
4. Making the card detection more effortless when topping up

Such A Lousy Confusing App
Unbelievable steps. The reason we do this app is to auto reload our cash card in the card. They need you to register again for this function and when they approved and send you a OTP to activate, bloody hell still need to scan the Net card we already inserted in the car IU. It must keep on taking out the card to scan to do a function might as well not have this app at all !
Worst than navigating a multi trading platforms app. Don’t know ask for your profile and bank info how many times and the first time always fail. I think we should have some some alternative options.

Zero stars if possible
So hard to do just a simple top up or even to activate auto top up. Session keeps timing out even though doing it at a normal pace. Do we need Olympic level typing speed? Usually takes multiple time to scan the card with the app. Flashpay but definitely not happening in a flash. Finally got to key in all credit card details (no Apple Pay or auto fill feature) but runs into error when submitting payment. Restart everything and then session times out. Stuck in endless loop of frustration. All just to top up. Much faster to just do the manual means. Please pay your developers more.

Update: 2 Years later.. Finally they have a feature to save your credit card. But…. After saving the card, the app doesn’t allow you to top up but get stuck in the loop of always asking you to add new card.. so now I can’t even top up via the app. Took so long for them to implement such a simple feature but they still get it wrong. Is there no testing process in this company? Seriously need to review their tech management process… Lack of competition is making this company sloppy and just churning out terrible products.

Should allow pasting from clipboard
The screen for entering credit card payment details is extremely archaic - it doesn’t allow pasting from clipboard, and the credit card number field is split into 4 separate fields ! What a pain !
Many are using password managers now to store passwords and credit card info, and apps should either integrate directly with the password manager or allow pasting of info from them. In this app, you have to key in all info manually - terribly inconvenient!

I get that the cc details may not be saved on the app could be for security reasons, and if your phone gets hacked then NETS will liable for losses. But if you actually signed up an account and input your cc details, I don’t get what it’s for if in the end you can’t use it anyway? Made a top up on my flash pay motoring card. Was deducted $50 from my credit card but the top up was not made on the card. Not to mention that the auto top up does not work as well. This app is supposed to make our lives easier but now i have to spend more time to raise a dispute and contact my CC company. Improve the payment process please
Adding a card to your profile does nothing, you will still have to key in your details every time you top up your flashpay card.
At least try and make it easier for us by configuring the credit card fields to accept Google/Safari autofill.

Severely needs improvement
Even after having saved my credit card details in my acct, you still require me to key in my CC details every time i want to top up my nets cashcard. For a payment app or platform, this is unacceptable and an utter failure. Until you rectify this, i will avoid using this app as much as possible. To other users, ez-link app (with ezlink motoring card) is smarter in this aspect and is a viable alternative for your consideration.

Horrible and Useless Payment App
1. The NETS app once deducted SGD $100 from my credit card but it didn’t top up the cash card it was reading. I had to email the team through a time-consuming process just to get back the money I was ‘scammed’. As a payment gateway, this issue shouldn’t even exist, so please think twice before using this app to top up your cash card.
2. The NETS app can’t read the cash card properly. The loading page will just remain there after it scanned the cash card, resulting in the inability to top up the NETS cash card. Think about how horrible this user experience is, we need to use a NETS cashcard yet the NETS is so buggy that you can’t even top it up.
3. Why can’t we save our credit card details in the app? I have to key in my credit card details every single time I top-up. Google chrome, Apple safari or literally user interface that requires card payments allows for stored card details. Even allowing Apple Pay would be way better if data security is the concern.
Can we switch to Visa/Master instead for cashcards?

Wasteful App
This was suppose to be a good app especially for drivers who could top up on the go. However it seems the main functions are all for prepaid cards. Every time you do a top up via the NFC, you got to manually key in card details again. Can’t even store details of your card. Defeat the purpose of having the app, might as well just go to the terminal to do it which probably is even faster and easier.
Whoever design this app must have kept his brains at home.

Credit card details not auto filled
You have to fill in your credit card details every time you want to top-up the nets card. This issue was posted a year ago in the app review and till now it’s still not been fixed! Such a basic hygiene feature for payment platform. It’s a disgrace.
In addition, they have the cheek to charge $1 for OTP to add card to payment method without informing you! The alert that a $1 charge is incurred is sent in the same message as the OTP.
Plus, there is ANOTHER $1 charge when updating credit card info in payment method. And even after charging $1 for updating the card info, youu still have to key in the card details every time you want to top-up! This is daylight robbery and should be reported to CASE.

Auto top up limitation for motoring card
I just realised that there is a security feature blocking the auto top up if the last auto top up was less than 3 days ago. Meaning to say if u are doing heavy driving, this card will not be useful to you. I have caused a jam at the carpark trying to figure what is happening to my ATU function. Imagine if I have gone through a ERP and I am having low value balance but card doesn’t top up itself….

Remember Card Details & allow more than $100 top up
System has recorded payment methods but still requires user to key in card details for each and every top-up. Not efficient. Should allow saved cards to be used and only need to key in OTP from bank.
Should allow more than $100 top-up limit. This is a simple fix. There is no value in keeping a low limit since multiple steps of verification are required for top-ups.

Joining the (one star) club
It looks like every single review of this app is a one star review. I have indeed gone through many of the frustrations other reviewers mentioned.
Want to add one more: after scanning my flash pay card, selecting a top up amount, keying in my credit card details and pressing the submit button guess what. It tells me I exceeded the maximum number of top ups for this week :(
It’s been at least 3 to 4 months that I did my last top up!

Useful functions in concept but execution is flawed
The top ups work and save hassle of going to top up machines. However, several flaws in user experience. One big flaw is that the “Add credit card” payment option in the app is just for show. When you top up, you still need to key in all your card details MANUALLY. Huge frustration if you are trying to top up last min at the carpark exit.
Also, take note that the auto top up function only works for only some carparks, which renders the auto top up function quite useless. It only comes into use if you are lucky enough to be at an eligible carpark when your card is low.

Seriously needs to improve on the app
Tried to add my credit card to the default payment card. Ended up card added but when choosing the default card and press next, it asked to update the expiry date and CVV of the card. Which then prompted to key in OTP sent via SMS. Still failed to allow selection of default card and goes back to the same process of keying in expiry date and CVV. Worst of all, the OTP process deducts $1. Tried a couple of times and gave up. Cheated me a few dollars for trying.

extremely lousy app
using it to top up the nets motoring card has got to be the most difficult task. the app forever struggles to scan and read the card and also struggles to scan and read the card again after the transaction is authorised with the sms OTP. it can take me numerous attempts and over 10 to 15 mins to get it done. i wonder if the technical team ever test and try how BAD the experience and functionality is in real when trying to top up the card!

Useful but with some room for improvement
For Singapore’s biggest transactions provider, it has some ways to go to be on par with today’s technology. While the functionality and NFC capabilities are incredibly useful to top up cash cards, some improvements can be made to the UX to make it more intuitive.
It is rather cumbersome when you cannot auto save your credit card details. It would be better if you can link it to the multiple alternative solutions - paynow, Apple Pay, PayPal etc so the top up is more intuitive and I don’t have to take out two cards each time.
There is also very little awareness for this product - I was in desperation to find a solution when I was stuck in a carpark with zero working top up machines and found it on google. Surely as Singapore’s biggest provider, we can do better?

I could save a payment option in my profile, but I can’t use it for topping up my motoring cash card. You cannot expect users to key in their credit card number everytime they wish to Topup the cash card, right? Was skeptical using the app given bad reviews. Card scan requires you to know where the nfc chip is located in your phone. I fumbled abit initially could not do the first scan but after some testing found scanning my card near the top part of my iphone 8plus works more consistently.
I do not have any timeouts etc when keying in card info and then otp like others say.
I find this is convenient in the event I cannot find where the machine is located for carparks.
I think maybe the initial releases of the app was buggy long ago but i feel it has improved since.
I have topped up my nets card thru the app quite a few times already with few/no issues. Card scan being the only one depending on phones nfc chip.

Rubbish App
If you want to create your own app for top ups at the very least make it functional. Forget about the Auto top-up function which never works. What’s worse is that manual top up function doesn’t work either. Tried with 6 bank cards, after inputting card details. Loading comes on for a good 15 secs and thereafter having the error icon appear. If it’s not because nets card are used mostly for car parks. Would have just ditch using NETS totally.

Smooth, simple and user friendly!
I'm not exactly the most tech savvy person but honestly I found the app quite simple and straightforward. No more worrying about locating a working cashcard topup machine!
Not sure why the other reviews were so negative (perhaps they were based on earlier, yet-to-be-refined versions) but i definitely will use this app again and again!

Amazing how they just can’t get it to work
Sometimes can’t log in, sometimes after keying in credit card info it just doesn’t top up and reloops to the page to key in credit card info again. Most unreliable service ever. Give me back my old cash card. If you cannot roll something out properly, dont. It’s just sad that NETS is supposedly the nations digital transaction company. Unfriendly app
Seems like the favorite thing This app does is to sign you out.
Tried so many times to have auto top up done. It’s been few days since getting the card. It was not available in stock at many stations. Finally drove to HQ to buy it.
Then had problems with topping up. Finally had to call the help customer service center. Advise to delete the app and reinstall it again.
Been doing this many times and I still cannot get to complete the registration and bank card details yet.
Why do they have a card and app that does not help their customers ? Makes me wonder how cooperative our 3 banks are esp when they get together in a project.
Now reinstalling my 7 times for the app. Hope it works. Hahaha

Silliest app made by egoistic company
While doing a top up and going through the same old motion again, i decided i just have to come here to rant again. This is the silliest app ever. Is nets ego so big that they refuse to link to apple pay and google pay. Whats the point of logging in everytime and keying in our cc details during registration, when we have to input again everytime we want to do a top up. Take a cue from ezlink. They did what’s right for their customers, link with apple pay, seamless top ups. The old dudes at nets should just go retire

Keep getting session time out
I don't know what kind of idiots program this App. It asked tons of information to fill up but never give you enough time to key in them. It logged you out saying session time out in the middle of filling up the info. I tried four times but never able to complete the auto top up registration. Oh well, as customers do not have another provider to switch to we all just have to put up with this bad experience and use it. 😫😫

Constructive feedback
1. Set the duration of log out time to be at least 30mins.
The app keeps logging users out every few minutes u can barely finish what your doing and it logs u out.
2.top up using paylah/ocbc pay anyone. Or have auto fill allowed. The least u can do is use 1 fill instead of 4 fill boxes for 16 digit so we can copy paste
Not all of us can remember our credit debit card number.
3. Have a hourglass image or rotating circle image when the app is waiting.
It just appears as a white screen when paying . Not sure why but white screen makes user feel app is not responding.
4.Make transactions allowed for any time why is there a cap to the no of times u can use to top up. I have not yet use my card and the app has told me maxed out use.
5. Test your own app. Ull get to know how frustrating it is and work on the bug fixes. This app feels prematurely released.

Bugs
App keeps restarting and saying time is up while typing personal and card details. Maximum time it give is a minute tops, after which message pops up to say time is up, AND YOU HAVE TO RETYPE THE ENTIRE FORM AGAIN. So when I tried to type in really fast at Olympic speed, I thought I made it when I pressed submit. The app then leads you to the bank page, by the time it gets there and you are soooo close to finishing it, the time is up again :’) there’s no winning when you use this app lol

What a Disgrace!
I’ll give zero star if there’s an option. This is the first review I’ve ever written in App Store! It just show how disappointing the experience with this app is. Trying to register for auto top up can never be done as the session time is set to so short you always get a time out notice to login again! Who’s the genius that designed this? It’s a disgrace to the NETs brand. If there’s another choice in town you guys will be out of business! Please wake up your idea.

Can’t top up using my credit card store in my profile!
Every time when I top up, it keep asking me to input my credit card details… for each time I top up! Which I had already store my card details into the app! And a short while it will show me “Session Expired - Please sign in again” every time I need to type as fast as possible to fill up the details. If not will get “SESSION EXPIRED” and need to key in all over again. Very stress!!

Why I add the payment method?
When topping up nets flash pay card, I have to type in the credit card details every single time. Found out that I can add the credit card details into the profile payment method thinking that it will be easier to top up. Turns out it doesn’t allow me to top up using my saved payment method and I still have to type the credit card details every single time. Does not make sense to me…

Unnecessary feature of scanning card, doesnt work most of the time
Waste of time implementing NFC scanning just to impress management that NETS is desperately trying to shed its dinosaur image when most of the time it doesn’t work when trying to scan to top up and when it works, the card profile is lost the next time we login to our account and got to waste time trying to get the scanning functionality to work.
Unnecessary and waste time functionality when this problem can simply be solved by keying in the CAN number and saved in our profile. Sometimes trying to be fancy is pointless, good in paper and powerpoint proposals to impress management but poor in implementation.

Horrible buggy app, wanna have convenience of topping my flash card via the app but instead only give me headaches, it managed to scan the card for the profile but when I wanted to top up, the scanning always says incomplete..now I dun even know if the credit card transfer to this flash card is through cause the credit card says through but the final process to scan the card again says incomplete…thanks for making our lives harder NETs!

Buggy
Tried to top up card using NETS app. Failed first two times because apparently the session timed out. I wasn’t even going at a slow pace.
Third time finally when through BUT the final screen says hold card against back of phone to compete process. I held it there for almost 1min and nothing happened.
So I to re log in again for the fourth time then realise my account was successful topped up even though the process did not show a successfully completed screen.

Extremely Lousy UI
This is one of the worst apps I have encountered so far and doesn’t deserve the 1* rating. I have barely used this for 10 minutes after downloading it and it has auto logged out of my account three times. Logging in is a hassle as the app freezes then crashes on the 2FA page. It also does not sync with Singpass at all. From the reviews, seems the topping up function is not working as well. What is the use of this app exactly?

Worst app ever
When keying in credit card details to do auto top up, when I toggle the screen to my photo album to check my card number, the app will delete all my filled up info and say that I have used the back button. When I finally dig out my physical card so that I dun have to toggle my screen, it ask for the opt that was sent to my phone. When I open the message to read the otp and toggle back to Nets app , it says timed out. Seriously testing my patience. Decided to delete app and top up via car park machine. Cannot believe the app is launch by a reputable company like Nets. After reading reviews that even if u successfully top up via app, the card did not top up but bank account deducted. Is this a scam or what? Please get your act together please.

Good app. But could be better.
I like this app as i can top up NETS Flashpay Card via my phone. Please note, need to enable NFC in app settings as well as the NFC reader for iphones is located at the camera. Stumble a few times as did unable to scan my flashpay card. Perhaps a disclaimer or step process and fyi guide would be helpful.

Keep improve
I don’t like the idea of logging in everytime i open the app even i can use Face ID. It’s better to authenticate only when going to make transactions. And hope can retain the information of FlashPay card maybe tie it with account so that i don’t need to tap the card everytime i want to view transactions. Lastly, hope both NETS card and NETS FlashPay card can be added to Apple Pay like how China did with their UnionPay cards and T-Union cards.

Agreement check button not checkable
The agreement check button was not checkable after install on my iPhone and as such cannot proceed to use the App. Remove and Reinstall a few time with the same results.
I found an workaround which paired a Bluetooth keyboard to my iPhone and managed to check the agreement button and complete the setup.
I have also tried top-up $10 to my new flashcard. The process was ended with error on the first try although fund was deducted from my credit card. But when I reconnect the flashcard to it, it was smart enough to push the pending top up through to the flashcard. It was finally done successfully and impressive.

Not user friendly
I used the Nets top up for the first time yesterday to test the apps.
It took me a good 10-15mins to get it up and running in my office carpark. (Hot and stuffy)
I am riding motorcycle btw.
The top up seems ‘ok’ as indicated on the screen.
But then when I reached my house carpark, I was surprised to see the IU blinking with red light and beeping.
That signals your Flashpay card is Low in value and it was not topped up.
I was lucky I am riding my motorcycle yesterday and the deduction was minimal.
If I had driven my car, then I would have been penalised for insufficient funds.
I check my history, true enough no top up was done.! Omg..!
I tried topping up again today.
Now it shows in my bank account that the amount deducted is pending.!
My Flashpay card is still not top up.!
Lesson learn.
Just top up at the machine.!
