Too much bugs
The graphics feels old and game keep freezing. Navigating around the room is like I am not wearing spectacles as everything is so blurry around the player. Gameplay is same as the original so it’s ok.

A very bad port
I’ve been playing all rayark rhythm games and other rhythm games for a few years including the original deemo and they’re all good, but deemo reborn is the only one that I can’t bare to play at all. It has a lot of issue that are present mostly due to the fact that they tried to make a port from a console rhythm game with far better specs and set lanes during songs. In exploration, everything is extremely blurry, the movement isn’t good but passable while the camera is very slow, delayed and has way too much smoothing on it rather than just following how much and fast you move your finger. All of this is still fine to me, as I mostly care about playing through the story and especially about playing the songs, even if the exploration is not so enjoyable due to all the blur and bad controls, but yet there was more issues. I play all the games with my AirPods and cause of that I have to set a delay. The other games works fine with the delay except for voez which counts the ping timing rather than the tap timing, but deemo reborn has worse delay setting than voez or even the original deemo that I struggled to make it work and just kind of gave up and went with a timing that worked best. Now comes the worst part for me which was what I was expecting the most from, playing the songs. There’s this weird acceleration feeling as the notes fall where when it’s far it’s slow but when it’s closer to the line feels like it suddenly speeds up way faster than from above, which throws my timing out the window. Due to the fact that it’s a ps port, in which it had to have lanes to match the buttons, there are all kinds of issues. It would seem that there’s no lanes for this version but there very much is lanes present all the same, only difference is that they removed the visual for it. All the gameplay and technical stuff of it is still there. Cause of that, when you tap a tiny bit into what’s considered as another lane, even though your tap is actually still on the note, it will activate the other lane instead which causes you to fail two notes, the note that you were tapping just falls through as the game considers it as if you didn’t tap it, and the note on the lane it considered you tapped on (even though you didn’t), no matter how far it is, or even if it just appeared, counts as tapped, which results as a bad tap as timing is completely off when you should tap. This happens way more often than it should, and maybe you can consider it as I’m just bad to the point I can’t tap exactly on the lane itself. But when I do quite well on the hardest mode in all the other games which work perfectly fine for most, and all of a sudden doing horrible in this not due to me playing bad, but due to this game having all this issues, it’s something I really can’t continue with as I end up frustrated even though the point of playing games is usually to have fun. Long review but hopefully explains the problems and why it’s one star well enough.
