Music always cuts off

Terrible apps, forever telling me lost connection where my wifi shows a strong signal. It’s horrible when you run a class with all the Sonos speakers and surround but the music kept cutting off or even jump tracks. Best you do something about it.

Loses my system or parts of it about once a week

Every time I want to listen to music it’s a roll of the dice as to whether my products are connected and I have to walk round the flat resetting everything and troubleshooting. More headache than it’s worth.

Software developer needs allow users to revert to previous software firmware

App updates are killing this product. Bought it and felt very well done premium product. Now with app updates i have to crank to 100% volume where i previously i only used 60% volume. Sub/bass was screwed with app updates.

And don’t believe the ratings. This product is not working! Check the details of the reviews. Daylight robbery. Most hacked reviews ever! The thing doesn’t connect. Completely unusable!! Do NOT buy!! Don’t waste money. Buy a decent Bluetooth speaker instead! Update March 22: connection issues persist, coding issues. What an unbelievable bad app and software this system has. Should be zero stars. Folks, don’t buy. Worth $0. Buy a good Bluetooth speaker instead.

And, again, don’t believe the ratings. Check the comments and reviews in detail and you know the ratings are fake. Zero stars.

The app can never find my speaker after the last couple of updates. All my other Wifi/enabled devices in the home are fine. I got tired of resetting when nothing in my network has changed. Given up now and will just use back my older also Wifi-enabled Bose which gives no such frustrations.

S2 Apps is totally crap

Zero star if I can. Like many have experienced here, the speakers are great but the S2 apps is a complete disaster! Don’t have such problems with the S1 apps. Have been working with Sonos support for almost 2 months to solve the problem where the S2 apps just didn’t work, can’t even launch the S2 apps. Every emails from the support is asking the customer to do a tons of trial and errors and submitting crash and diagnostics reports, however they don’t come back with the finding but continue to ask the customer to try many other things in the next email. Even send email to the CEO, is a complete waste of time, cos the support will reply instead. Seems like many are facing issues with the S2 apps but the support keeps denying there is no problem with the S2 apps. Since Sonos has been so lousy in your Apps development, I would suggest Sonos to provide a hardware remote controller so that your customer can still use the system!

Unusable

For the brief moment that we could actually play music, the speaker sounded lovely. But the app is beyond atrocious. And has rendered the speakers useless.

I cannot set up an account, it shows a random user’s email address that is NOT MINE, and is just not functioning at all. Returning the speakers for a refund.

You have a very good product, the speakers are fantastic.

But the app is a complete joke. Seriously, please stop updating the app to a worse-off version each time. I can’t connect any of my speakers and my wifi is forever dropping with the new- “ bug-free- fixed “ app. Please, do something about it immediately. I have 7 of your speakers , 1 arc, 1 sub and it hurts bad trying to rectify this stupid problem.

Faced 2 problem after adding the new purchase Sonos Sub ( Gen3 ) to Playbar.

1. Connection always broken. Even playing music halfway.

2. Connection is very hard to restored. Always need to take multiple attempts.

Before adding Sonos Sub ( Gen 3 ). This App is working fine.

Often doesn’t connect and then have to restart the app and the speakers too. Have the Sonos ones/5 and the play base and it started off well. Recently been very disappointing as you start to use Spotify and other apps.

Seems buggy after update

The app doesn’t seem to run as smooth as before the update. The connection with my spotify takes a long time to detect the song that it is playing or sometimes i cannot even connect and adjust the volume through the app.

Sonos App adjust iOS volume

I don’t know why Sonos app will alway adjust iOS volume to their speaker volume. I alway keep the iOS volume to 90% and my Sonos speaker alway play at around 20%. Sonos app alway adjust my iOS volume to 20% and when my WhatsApp msg come in, I barely hear the msg tone ! Is this some kind of bug???

Not consistent

Since day one 2years ago with multiple help I haven’t yet solve my problem of broken connection and frequent skipping of songs. Sometimes juz seize to work etc etc non of helpdesk was forthcoming w solutions. This app destroy my flawless setup

I hate this stupid new app. My pair of Play1 were doing fine with no issue at all but after the recent updates. I have reset the app twice and the speakers multiple times reconnecting and all. It works at times and failed to connect most of the time.

My router, wifi system and the speakers never change and their position remain the same. Now I hate Sonos!

Apple ... hurry up and buy Sonos

Sonos tech and connectivity is an absolute joke. It jumps in and out of wifi with the drop of a hat. So archaic compared to straight Bluetooth.

The sound from my speaker is amazing when I can be bothered to try and find my music or god forbid, podcasts!

I wouldn’t waste my money until Apple buy them and their products just hook it straight up to music and podcasts

That reminds me.....buy some Sonos stock rather than wasting it on another speaker......do say I didn’t tell you

Can’t connect to playbar

Keep saying WiFi password is wrong when trying to setup via WiFi or when trying to setup via Ethernet cable it says can’t find product.

Works with play1 and sub but not playbar.

Frustration

Intermittent stop & go. It drives you mad because no matter how many reset- I plays a bit - to stop and stutter. Sound is ok. BUT Functionality 1 out of 10. mine goes away.
