The quality and features of the camera is fantastic. Stable connectivity and response immediately without noticeable delay. Very satisfied with this product. Planning to buy more camera from Tapo series.
The subscription model should have more attractive packages for multi camera users.

Only Wifi
Since an update few months before, It says Network Unstable, unable to see it from 3g 4g service provider. Only able to see using WIFI. Do you guys need 5g or what now?

Easy installation and use
Bought the camera from Tampines1. Instruction was easy to understand. Downloaded the App and got it working well. Very clear image and good view. I like the ‘mark’ location function. It makes scanning easy. Very happy with it.

Update adds delay in live view
As title, I have c110 and c210 and my phone is on the same Wi-Fi. I used to be able to pzt with decent live view as feedback, this is not longer true.
Live view refresh / update is much worse than before, please address it.

It is working but not useful
Good points first:
Image quality is good enough, app functionality UIUX is okay.
Bad Points:
1. Load Speed: When the notification fires, by the time the stream gets played, the person is gone already.
So most of the time you won’t get to see real time feeds in time.
2. Latency of notification; i set up my camera along the walkway, and my walkway is maybe 15m long; by the time the notification is in, the person have left the FoV; the delay is about 5seconds.
3. Haphazard Video recording; I’m a paid subscriber for the cloud service; a 15second video clip can get warped and becomes a 2sec clip. Which is like a super fast forwarded version which sometimes is useless.
4. Person detection vs Motion Detection; I wrote in a complaint that the person detection is not working; changes in where the sunlight is shining can trigger a person detection; the sunlight phenomena is triggering a lot of motion detection, so I switched to person detection (a premium feature) but nope it doesn’t work well enough.

Easy to configure and accessible globally with an easy to use app too .

Best part is to zoom when needed too ..

Unstable

Easy to use, better than Kasa
Tapo is a different range of smart product by TP-Link, as compared to Kasa. It allows each smart device firmware update separately, as compare to Kasa. Only drawback is it does not support landscape mode with iPad. Would be nice if this is possible.

Since installed my TAPO cam , even I’m far away from home , easily to view and monitor my Home. Clear view and can pan and tilt 360 deg. Can snap shot clearly and video recording to your own phone easily. High quality resolution. Can install apps to multiple phone . After pairing to the phone Easy installation . Can move to another location plug and play. There is a setting motion and sound detection and automatically mssg to ur phone . Can set off and privacy . It depends on the user.

Problem with logging in
I have Tapo app for camera and Kasa app for smart plugs. They both work nicely, but one problem haunts me every time, when i need to log in. It ALWAYS says ‘wrong email or password’! Each time I click ‘forgot password’, get a link, create a new password and log in successfully. After a while, when I need to any of these apps again, it asks me to log in and does not accept that latest password. And why would it always ask me to log in again on my iPhone???

All the makings of a great app!
And it can be even better. :-) Setup was a breeze and basically foolproof. Improvement I would like to see as follows,
1. There should be access for Pan/tilt and mark positions else it is no meaning. Typically sharing of devices is between family members.
2. The Mark pics should show up on the shared device app.
3. If possible , Camera should be able to focus on the area of detection.

Quick setup
Bought 3 Tapo IP cameras, only unfortunate point is sharing out to max 3 persons, and only play back of video is possible. Also shared accounts cannot pan or tilt camera, no audio function as well. The main account has access to all functions.

Easy to set up even non-IT inclined
Recommended by a friend who has tried many types of IP cams. Basically - camera can tilt and pan left-right. Visuals are clear and esply so on night mode with little or no light. Set-ups - just follow the steps. Easy as ABC. Tried the set up for a few days. Easy to navigate. Can even talk to anyone facing the camera in real time !

Been using this app for about 3-4 days. It’s easy to set up and it works immediately. Formatting the SD Card and Inserting it into the Camera is simple. The app has great features like being able to pan & tilt the viewing angle with a control pad.
