Feature Request: Price

Love the app and I use it all the time. I am a premium user as well. One feature request I have would be a field to log the ticket price. This metric can then be used to provide total flight spending for the year and can use existing graphs to trend price by airline etc.

Lacking Features and missing flight data

I’ve noticed a few critical issues, no gate information for Vietnam Airlines, erroneous information for Singapore Airlines (showing delays when there were none). Also missing features like seat maps and ability to review aircraft or airlines.

Ridiculously expensive

Ridiculously expensive subscription plan, need to take some holidays makes you buy a full years plan if you want calendar sync.

I think they’re out of step with regional spending power, these prices are US not suitable for Asia.

Big avoid this rip off.

Works with Apple features and Apple Watch well

It is a great app that uses live activities on lock screen, can check Apple Watch and see at baggage collection, gate, departure time, flight status all at a glance. Would definitely recommend this app for even people who travel maybe even only twice a year.

Coming Over From App In The Air

Used App In The Air for years app for years till it closed so trying this one out. Has basic features needed though I wished it had more like AITA. Overall working well for me. Haven’t had the chance to see how accurate the flight delay / gate change updates are as my flights haven’t experienced those yet.

It is a very good tool but it doesn’t allow re-sync from TripIt. I’ve on TripIt all my flights since the eighties and Flighty is missing several years

Free Version need to improve the UX

Too much ads as a free app, and quite limited functionality. However the UX is great as a paid app, it is just too expensive compared to the other app and it is not an essential app.

App in the air convert

Came over as app in the air is about to expire. Has potential but data isn’t always the most up to date and accurate (got alerts from app in the air on gate changes and also from TripIt hours before flighty shared the same update). Flight tracking whilst in flight (offline) was a great app in the air feature to plan sleep or work yes it wasn’t live but good enough, Flighty can’t do offline time to destination well seems to keep getting confused and telling me I haven’t taken off .. unlike app in the air you can’t combine flights into a single trip so all flights are their own thing .. I’m a subscriber and hope they improve, but don’t expect coming over from app in the air that flighty will be equivalent or better, at least not yet..

Came here as my app in the air will disappear. Can’t find any flights and even when searching for random flights next 24 hours it comes out with no flights globally. Seriously hope this is a temporary flaw considering how others rate this app.

Limited usefulness for international flights

Great concept but I’ve found more often than not realtime flight data doesn’t update. I’ve been in a taxi going home, connected to the internet, and it says my flight is still taxiing to the gate. 25 hour pre flight tracking is routinely not available, even on major carriers. Guessing this is more of an issue with data sources vs the app itself. It would be great if this could be addressed in the future.

Don’t subscribe if you’re in Aisa

The flight data from Changi Airport in Singapore is consistently wrong. There was a flight which was delayed from 15:45 to 00:45 but flighty just showed 15:45. And this is not the first time they don’t update data when using Asian airports.

I raised this to the flighty team (given that Apple and Google showed the correct time), they just said they used “different data sets but ours is still good”. What a terrible response.

Clearly their data sets are simply wrong.

But given the Anglo-American nature of the team, I guess if you’re flying a non-western/non-White airline/location, they don’t care.

Overpriced with poor data quality outside the US

The application design is great, really feels like the product managers were fired to get an extra UI designer on board. The app fails where it should not - data quality, and don’t be mistaken, it is not about the airport size, most of the EU mid-tier airports will not give you gate information or update on delays (WAW, RIX, CDG, TLL). The situation in APAC is similar, while the app seems to be doing ok in SIN, it failed giving me decent updates in NRT and KUL.

Gate is not updated and unavailable

I've tested several flights on the Flighty app and found that the gate number information is unavailable, unlike on the official airport departure board.

This discrepancy raises questions about whether the app truly delivers on its promise of providing timely updates and notifications.

Watching my in-flight progress is so satisfying

It is always fun to watch the progress of my flight via the Flighty app, pulling on curious viewers from my fellow passengers. Utilising either the offline or in-flight connection, knowing when the plane is about to land helps me to get prepared once the plane has landed.

Beautiful UI yet lack basic feature and severely overpriced

The UI is great but some basic features were either lacking or behind an insanely overpriced paywall. For instance,

- User can’t manually add a flight record but to rely on calendar sync

- Flights sync from Calendar is incomplete (if Gmail/iOS mail never add it to the calendar)

- You need to PAY to enable calendar sync

- However, the weekly plan does NOT support calendar sync (need $70 yearly/ $350 lifetime plan)

Developers, seriously? $70 for inputting data? That’s a scam.

5-star UX design, 3-star data quality in Asia

I really love this App and purchased annual subscription without a single second of hesitation when I found it. Its UI/UX is top notch compared to all other flight tracking apps, which made me fall in love with it immediately. However, I’m less confident in its data quality, especially for Asian airlines like SIA and Scoot: I’ve encountered several times when my flights had already taken off/landed, but the status on the App was still not updated and in a confusing state. In those cases, I had to check other apps and their data looked correct to me. It would be perfect if Flighy can have better flight data.

Disappointed with the quality of the app

While this app is useful, but overall it is a mess especially when adding friends into your list.

Furthermore when I try to contact the developer on Twitter, no response from them. I am beginning to be doubtful about the developer’s competency.

Pro: useful, convenient, overpriced. Free: useless.

The app is beautifully designed, useful and convenient at times, but 1 flight free for pro doesn't let you experience much, once flight arrives full access to your past flight info will be blocked.

Pro is the full package, aimed at frequent flyers, doesn't cater to the not-so-frequent flyers, no packages with pricing according to number of flights in a year nor a pay-as-you-book option with pricing on a per booked flight basis, these could come with alternatives, such as option to share.

Free is basically useless after the first flight, gives less information than flightradar24.com

Dynamic island feature at a premium?

I don’t understand why live monitor in dynamic island is a premium subscription while apple is not charging developer for that feature? Developer is simply a greedy company. Btw thanks for the 1 flight free sample. That’s all I need to know how greedy you are.

Useless if you don’t live in US or Europe

Love the simplicity of the app but look like this app doesn’t give as much detail compared to US flight information. For flight between Singapore or Indonesia doesn’t really help that much but we still need to pay full price. Would be great if the price of subscription is adjusted for certain countries that has limited flight information.
