Good App, Stupid call decision with chatbot

The app works fine, digital feature quite helpful.
Yet even with all that it is more convenient to talk to customer service abot fee and etc and got it solved within 10 minutes.
Your chatbot is not magic bullet. It just fancy way of interaction before clicking a buttons.
We still need live agent, within reach and solve matter within 10 minutes instead weeks with your chatbot and live agent.
And the developer / it department is really slick, if you tried to submit 1 star rating for feedback magically it is system / network error and you cant submit feedback, really slick 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Can’t believe this happening in singapore leading bank.

Amazing customer service & user experience

Been using DBS my whole life and anytime I had any issues from overseas transfers, DBS customer service always helped me instantly and solved any issues I faced. Incredibly trust-worthy bank - by far my favourite banking experience I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend DBS and will be a loyal and happy user for the rest of my life :)

Different fixed deposit rate on the app, all at 0.05%?! But the actual deposit rate is much higher for longer term deposits. Is this a bug or designed intentionally?

60 times more inefficient compared to the physical token

digital token got deregistered after the recent update. spent half an hour trying to set it up again but the stupid app keeps crashing. finally registered it again only to find out I cannot authorise any payments for another 12 hours. everyone involved with the digital token project ought to be shot

Does the job, badly

I get an aneurism every time I use this app. Basically every screen transition has 2 or 3 loading phases and everything jumps around the screen, logs you out at random or prompts you with some irrelevant message about session extension. You can get most banking activities done eventually though

Unstable

I have been using DBS when l’m School boy . Yes , no doubt about the bank, friends and open Staffs personalities with warmth and greeting and always with a Smiles . I love the bank very much that served with Big Smile and recently meet CSO Staff Ms Filzah at Plaza Singapura outlet welcome me with Big Smiles . She even hand out $5/-Sheng Siong Voucher to me after long wait for turn . I must said that Our DBS Bank none other banks. Big Thimbs Up for DBS Bank and all Staffs. Takes damn long to get to the fraud line

By the time I finish listening to your slow voice messages before it reaches the fraud line option to press 7 and if it’s really urgent my money would have already been lost.

Please keep the fraud line clear……..if you are a scam victim….. and by the time I get to reached 7 to get to the fraud line my money will be emptied and will DBS still return my money? Still need to choose between monetary loss or no monetary loss and think it will bring me to access some link.

The Kiaso Bank

I can’t believed it. I forgot to pay my credit cards due to a family member death. DBS combined 2 months Credit cards bills (current and next month) into 1, I’ve 2 credit cards with them and have to pay the late charges with GST, although they will waived off on next credit card bill, and have a good track record of paying on time, only this once due to a death in my family.
Compare to CitiBank, I’ve my late charges fee and GST waived off, didn't combined 2 months bills into 1, but only paid the current bill. CitiBank is far more professional, forgiving, compassionate, and caring towards its customers in this case.

Cannot stand the in app sounds

For no good reason really, provide the option to turn off your in app sounds.
Other mobile functions are just meh, same as every other bank’s mobile banking. Too much reliance on data to get authentication..

Outstanding Service

Gary from DBS customer service rendered exceptional service to me on January 1, 2024. After experiencing difficulty transferring funds to a new brokerage account and navigating through instructions I didn’t quite understand, I left my name at DBSHELP DESK. The bank advised me it would call me in 2 to 3 working days. After one working day they called me on a national holiday and resolved the issue. Gary spend 20 minutes with me and was extremely patient. Thank you. My year is off to a good start.

Very frustrating user experience!

Why is the app so unstable?! Is this being looked into? The app shows me a pop up every time without fail "the system encountered a momentary technical difficulty......" AFTER I complete what I am supposed to do and final step during submission this pop up comes out! This has been going on for months now! You are giving me difficulty and trouble to log out and relogin to repeat the whole process over and over again.
Update: Few months now, the user experience has gotten from bad to worse. There isn't a single time I don't get hit with momentary technical difficulty sigh.

Among all the Singapore digital banking, DBS banking is the most out standing bank. I’m using quite a few banks in Singapore for business and personal banking. DBS iw yhe easier and has everything I need. It makes my business and personal transection clear and fast. In fact I’m thinking of closing some bank account. Seniors feedback

Fantastic for those younger people who could access their personal data easily. As for me ,I am past 70- and not tech- savvy. Most times when I need to ‘log-in’ I had already forgotten my ‘User ID’ or my ‘Password’. It is such an ordeal to log- in as though I am not the rightful person- so much so when others ask me to check my own “Interbank” for personal information- I am rather reluctant.
That’s my opinion ( a voice in the wilderness)

Not great user experience

Question should I continue the session or not leads to the same result - the session is ended.
Too many back and forth in the screens when loading the app, things are shown, disappear. All of that should be hidden under loading screen.
Very high resource consumption - the back of the phone gets significantly hot.
Custom keyboards for no reason.
The screen that is shown after the session is finished suggests to leave the review and shows an error that service is unavailable when you try to do it 🤦‍♂️

As banks are ultimately just databases these days, having an excellent lag free interface is the most key feature, which I believe this app achieves perfectly.

How else can u bank online with DBS

It’s an ok app. Stupid scrolling behaviour. Doesn’t show real-time balances of your credit card - just the last statement balance. “Rate this experience” fails to submit when your session expires - because ur logged out when it asks u the question! Sillily little issues that have been with it forever
I like the NAV feature, but it double counts credit card transactions- it should ignore “paying your card balance” instead it looks like you spent twice as much as you did
It’s ambition is greater than the ability of the team to deliver and it has a fragmented user experience based on which features you’re using

Digibank Not Working for me

I’m not sure if it’s just for me only, but when I created the digibank account, I couldn’t access anything at all (I.e Face ID login, apply for credit card). I’ve reinstalled the app multiple times but still unable to access any e-service at all. But because I was not able to access any e-service or create any account, I was unable to update any information. Therefore, I was unable to close my digibank account on the phone due to a lack of information for the bank to verify and was then instructed to physically go down to the bank to close it.
Really a bad experience, waste of time and a huge hassle.

Anyhow charges money to consumers

BEWARE. Terrible app & bank. Waived off my Altitude card annual fee and it was successfully waived off but they also gave me 5,000 points apparently due to the charge of the annual fee and did not claw it back immediately when my fee was waived. When I discovered I had points (which I did not know was credited due to the annual fee as, let’s face it, nobody reads fine prints. I assumed I got the points from card spend) and used it to offset some purchases (totalling up to <$30), suddenly I got charged another $148 due to the usage of the points even though my annual fee was waived. It was hard to find support via call and twice the support in which I managed to call through say they will check in on that for me and update before the date of my bill payment but after the call i hear no sound from them even until now. Eventually wanting to avoid the late charges I paid the money, but really terrible bank, super disappointed with DBS. Citibank does not do that. Also, think about it. I got charged $148 and only managed to offset <$30 worth of purchases hence essentially I’m paying $118 for nothing to the bank. I’m cancelling this card, ridiculous.

Best of a bad bunch

For all the Singapore banks DBS is the best… but it’s not without its own faults. I really wish the ‘Notifications’ could be turned off for insights. Everytime you log in it you think there is something new… when it’s just the same notification. Also, the alert at the top of the app is very annoying - please when a customer clicks the x , don’t alert them again the same topic over and over again.
Customer service could do with a better help desk! I have tried to call many times for enquiries but just can’t get through, no-one calls back. In the end, I sucked up the losses (>S$500 in case).

Bad experience of bank’s app

The level of support teams are low and there are no professionals at all. The app can't generate OTP (email and sms), the officers advises to do the transfer at counter, keeps asking to restart device, reinstall app, and ask to wait, they don't even call back, so how does the user know if the problem is fixed or not fixed! And said relevant support team will call back, but end out I wait for nothing! Although the software is useless, and some technical teams will only give some useless suggestions, it is better to go for further study, and then come back and think about how to improve quality of the software…

Good App Overall

Been using the DBS App for some time now and it is responsive and I didn’t encounter any issues so far. I’m using it on my iPhone with iOS 15.7. Maybe if I could make some requests is to make a dark mode which is better for viewing at night and another mode which is “purposely dimmed” font colors.. which is like a security mode.. so that you can browse your financial numbers while on the bus. Some people can glance the black text over white background.. but if it’s a little grey or yellow text on white, then it’s hard to distinguish viewing from an angle. Another security/life-saving feature could be to use the front camera to take a snap if your are in a situation where you are held hostage and forced to transfer money with the app, it will be taken when confirming transfer, the user and bad guy will be in the selfie as evidence. Since using the main camera will be obvious. Just my thoughts.

Works OK, but bad push notification setting

It works for most of the transactions you want. Pay bill, transfer funds to other contacts, overseas card activation, balance checking, you name it. Interface is OK, but no dark mode. But please allow disabling of promotional notifications independently from transactional ones. Otherwise, it will encourage users from disabling all notifications altogether, making them more vulnerable to unauthorised transactions, a terrible security implementation. I simply cannot rate higher until this serious flaw is fixed.

ANNOYING AND DIGITAL ALERT CANNOT DO TRANSACTION

Hello developer I am using Iphone 12pro, it is already 2 years I am experiencing an annoying digital alert, “Sorry the system encountered momentary technical difficulty while performing the transaction. We request that ascertain the successful completion of transaction before proceeding to repeat the transaction.” Until today this error keep popping up every time I select the button. Even though no transaction yet the alert will redundantly pop up… I cannot even send money or do transaction because the alert will not allow you to do so… Please help check because only web browser is really helpful for me now in every DBS online transaction the apps doesn’t function the way it should be…

Forced update when I need to use this app to make a payment.

I really don’t like to be forced to update this app before I can use it. I understood the importance of keeping the app up to date, but, the update process, just like many other apps, is slow and lousy. This is might be tolerable for certain types of apps, but not for a banking app. It creates not only bad user experience , but a serious question about the reliability and dependability of your app. Yes, I tried to make a payment today at a store, it takes forever to get this app updated and i have to sort to ATM cash withdraw to settle the payment.

always got some kind of problem one

the dbs app is really the laggiest & lousiest thing on the planet. for one, the app uses its own keyboard which is like ok except i have to type the same thing 3 times for it to register then it either mistypes or hangs or something clownish. and more importantly, everytime i try to log in (which is not even that often ok bc i usually use paylah THATS WAY BETTER APP), it either says theres some sort of problem/error/trouble or the service “isn’t available right now” THEN WHEN??? ive tried several days & updated the app & restarted my phone & it rly aint it. SOMETHING OR THE OTHER IS ALWAYS HAPPENING. of 3 times i try to log in, 2 times got problem ok. i just want to be financially woke & keep up w my finances but this rly just does not cut it for me. i am done!!!!!!!

The services is always unavailable when used outside of maintenance hours.
Further more, it takes at least 5 log in attempts just to get into the main page. When trying to see any account, the next touch will trigger to pop up of being logged out due to security reasons. So it restarts to 5 more attempts. The when viewing the account, a PIN is needed because of trying to log in a lot. No PIN comes even if waiting for 5 minutes. So, how are we supposed to bank digitally like this?
This is the becoming norm rather than the exception. Disappointing and frustrating are huge understatments.

Glitchy App

It has been extremely agonizing to use DBS digibank app. Often times, the app will time out immediately after login which makes it difficult and time consuming to make over the counter payments at restaurants. The error message in these instances is always “timed out for your security” which does not makes sense since I literally just logged on. I doubt that this is an isolated issue because I have heard similar complaints from my friends and restaurant staffs. Apart from these, the app is often slow and laggy. I hope DBS can take this feedback constructively and work quickly to resolve this issue which has been affecting me for several weeks-months now. Thank you.

Dbs digibank app always times out

After my iOS 15 upgrade, my dbs digibank always timeout post my login. Tried calling dbs chat who does not exist now as I cannot reach out to them. Called the call center twice and waited for a very long period to reach them and first person asked me to setup my ibanking account Newly by cancelling the old one which I did , but the issue was not fixed and my app keep timing out. Second time when I called they told me wait for 12 hours and try and same issue persists Very shabby customer service from dbs (both app and their customer service) Not sure is it their app bug or any other security issue which is causing this

Some severe bugs of this App found on iPhone 12

Device: iPhone 12 System: iOS 14.4, 14.5, and 14.6 App version: all the versions since Nov. 2020 Bug description: 1: when open this App, the phone quickly starts to heat seriously, and usually when the App is closed, the heating will continue and restarting the phone is needed to stop the heating; 2: after closing this App and open several other Apps including “WeChat”, “Weibo” and “京东”, these Apps will all have no response and can only recover after restarting the phone; 3: after uninstalling this App, everything goes well; 4: when I start to use iPhone 12 in Nov. 2020, these bugs always exist, despite I have changed a new phone in Jan. 2021.

requires OTP but never prompt an OTP input

Lots of issues that stop me using this APP. Always flash crash after I reopen it. Always!!!!!!
And seldomly work fine until I log into the APP. But when I clicked the "submit transfer" button, no reaction from the APP and always stayed at the "submit transfer" page no matter how many times I cllicked the button. But inadvertently I see my email inbox received lots of unread messages. So I checked my inbox and found that there were lots of OTP sent to my inbox. But the APP never display an OTP prompt to allow me to input the OTP to submit the transfer.
Plus, there are lots of other more problems when using this APP.
Rreally, if your engineering team are uncapable of building a good APP, please contact me. I can do it for you.

Immediate phone overheating while using app

I am using an iphone 11 and although the app is fast, there were some issues with phone overheating when I used the app with other apps for payment. However, before the latest update, the phone was able to return back to normal without shutting down. Recently, the overheating has been really bad. Even just by using the app on its own to review my transaction history for less than one min, my phone immediately heats up. When I did not immediately shut down my phone, the phone continued to be very warm with fast battery drain. The only way to fix it is to close down all background apps and restart the phone after a few mins. I really hope this issue can be fixed soon because it's really a great app.

Best service ever

I have been a DBS bank customer for the past 15 years. The app and the overall DBS service has been nothing less than first class. I have had several issues with so many other accounts and cards with other banks, but so far I never had a single issue with DBS. I am taking time to write this as I was in a discussion on this topic with my spouse and we realised how convenient life is, with DBS, I felt I must thank all the people working behind the scenes for such a great customer experience!
DBS app is so fast, smooth and fuss free. I love the simplicity and user friendliness. The website is equally good, also the customer service.
Whosoever is maintaining this app, the IT, and the managers and the business partners, my wholehearted thanks - great work guys.
I do have accounts and cards in other banks and that’s why I am able to really compare. It’s disappointing to see no other reviews here, people take good things for granted.

Significant battery drain

Echoing what other reviews are saying, after buying a new iPhone 12 this app causes MAJOR battery drain and causes the phone to get extremely hot with just several minutes of usage. It also causes the phone to misbehave on connecting to networks. The only solution was to completely quit the app and restart the phone.
This did not happen on my previous iPhone 11. I even deleted the app and reinstalled from scratch, setting up digital token again, but the problem still persists. Please fix this immediately since this is a BANKING app which means people tend to use this often. And right now having to restart my phone after just opening the app briefly is totally unreasonable and unacceptable.

App causes fast battery drain and phone to heat up

The app itself seems ok when it’s working but I’ve noticed that every time I use the app (even if it’s just for a few minutes) my phone will get VERY hot and my battery starts going down VERY quickly (going down a few percentage points after using the app for a few minutes - that is not normal behaviour)! As another user pointed out, this is also an issue with some other banking apps but I’ve observed it seems to be worse with the DBS app. I often have to quit the app completely AND completely restart my phone in order for things to go back to normal. As a result, I now avoid using this app unless I absolutely have to. I only started having this problem when I got my new phone (iPhone SE 2nd gen, which I purchased in late 2020). I didn’t have problems when I used the app on my old iPhone 7. I had hoped the problem would be fixed by now (a few months later), but it is not. My iOS and app are both up to date and the problem persists. It’s not going to be feasible to use digital tokens if this problem keeps happening. Work out the issue and fix this please.

Always down, or glitchy

The digibank app has been a sufficient app for doing mobile banking for a while. However I’ve noticed in recent months, the app is always slow and glitchy. Error message like “service aren’t available right now. Please try again later”, or OTP (keyed in but log me out anyway) always prompts me and logs me out. There is no message anywhere of a maintenance is happening. For mobile banking, availability is key and customer’s experience needs to be seamless. It is annoying that I can’t access to banking needs at the bright of the day. Please fix the app and I hope it will get better as before.

Slow response, PIN expires ALL the time

I’m so sorry but I don’t know why your app is becoming less and less responsive, and it’s super slow now. Other than that, I keep receiving the 6-digit PIN to check my transactions only to have the pop-up telling me that my PIN has expired, when all the time I just immediately key it in anyway. This isn’t even the first time it’s happening and I thought maybe you guys will sort this out or something because I don’t like to contribute to bad reviews.
But this issue has been ongoing for so long already, I often experience lags and just glitches where the screen is just empty and even when I exit and restart my app it stays the same.
You guys really really need to fix this because it’s affecting your customers’ user experience, and if you can’t get this right you know very well they might change up to another brand just for better experience. Loyalty doesn’t exist nowadays it’s all a game of convenience and competence.
I do have to commend all the other efforts to include other features as well, i’m not entirely forgetting about all those. But in all honesty,

One of the better bank app

I’ve used a number of banks apps including other local SG banks and other foreign banks.
So far, this DBS app is highly robust, has a relatively friendly user interface and stable (for me, at least). I’ve used the app through the years mainly with Apple devices and have not encountered many app crashes.
Compared to other banks’ apps, this seems to have an easier navigation (navigation, however, is quite subjective).

Unable to launch the apps after first use

I encountered problem launching the app and have to uninstall and reinstall each time I want to login because only the first use after the re-installation is possible. When quit the app and would like to use the app again the app stops at the DBS logo forever and unable to launch the app to login page properly. This made mobile banking really inconvenient as well as banking with the Bank. Reflected the above issue to the customer service on digibot and asked to send a video to their CS. However, CS replied saying their SOP doesn’t allow them to review the case like that and cannot open the email and kicked the ball to the online chat box CS again. Ding-dong never ends and nobody wants to bring this up to their technical team. Disappointed

App causes iPhone 12 series phones to heat up

I have been using my iPhone 12 mini and my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro to access DBS digibank since early Dec 2020. Each time, after a short while using the app, it causes the phone to feel very hot. I have to quit the app for the phone to cool down. Also, it can cause network issues like outgoing calls not going out, App Store update checks not connecting to the server etc. To be fair I have observed this with other banking apps as well. Must be an issue with some common framework the apps use in SG. It is a good app except that it is really not usable on the latest series of iPhones. Have been diligently updating iOS as well as the apps once an update is available but till date, the issue has not been resolved. Restarting the iPhone is the only solution to get the phone back to working normally after using DBS digibank. I hope the developers are aware of these issues as I have read on other forums of people having similar issues. If they are insisting that everyone use digital tokens, they need to resolve this issue before they eliminate other means of authentication.

Suspect bug

Recently by mandatory I have to switch from using the token to DBS Digibank Sg to login to my POSB online backing. I suspect this App has caused my new iPhone 12 stalled and not functioning. It happened twice. It was today and eight days ago. And this is repeatable when it is using this App.
First when I clicked open this App, and then disabled my WIFI because I just wanted to use my mobile data while I was outside. After disabling the WIFI from the pull down, however the WIFI symbol on the top right hand was still existence, no matter how I tried enabling and disabling.
And then my iPhone would start to go hey wire, can’t use any other Apps and can’t even do a proper phone shutdown, at this point my phone screen would be just showing white blank. I have to try many times to power off my phone and eventually i would able to power off. After power off and on, phone was back to normal. But when I tried repeating the same sequence of event using this App, exact same phenomenon happened.
8 days ago my phone got really hot but today the hotness wasn’t happened.
Suspect this App is not compatible with iPhone 12. Please help to look into this and advise what could it be. Thank you.

One of the worst ibanking app

The problem started for me since Dec 2020, when I encountered a “frozen” screen when I boot the app. Can’t even reach the log in page. Called the customer service and was informed they were doing backend system updates; the officer wasn’t able to give a time when it will resume back to normal (other iphone users experienced the same problem)
I know DBS has revamped the app but now, i am facing the same problem. And it’s very frustrating cos I cannot perform any transaction due to authentication via digital token which has to be accessed by now defunct app. Ridiculous! Pls rectify the issue asap.
OCBC ibanking app is much better and user-friendly. I might just close my account with DBS and open another savings account with OCBC.

Connection

I’m unable to login when I’m on mobile data, even after clearing of cache, or restart of the iPhone. When attempting to login, it will cause data cut to the other apps too; unless I kill all the apps and switching on/off the airplane mode to re-established a connection with the mobile service.
Sometimes, almost never, i can log in, but! as i tap on any of my account, it will throw an error message saying “your system encountered a momentary Technical difficulty...” the same error as logging in or any of the area in the app.
It will only work fine, on wireless connection. Of course, I’m in an open area, full coverage of 4G, and even tried using it during midday afternoon or super late in the midnight. Same result even no peak hour traffic. So i still think its the app. Because i can do every mobile data related to every other app but yours.
I hope the development team can take a look into this, because its causing a lot of inconveniences.

Unreliable

This is a bank that does not prioritise having a working app for so many of its iPhone users where the functionality of their services is so highly dependant on whether the app works. Unable to log in for 9 weeks since version 5.0.1 and the problems have been dragged on with no solution in sight (very unhelpful customer service officers giving very vague answers and the officers answer whatever email comes to them so there’s no continuation and I have to explain myself with every email). There is no alternative way around the authentication unless I inconvenience myself by getting a physical token, which I believe they are phasing out by April. No accountability on the bank’s side and customer service officers are equally as clueless as the users. Don’t feel safe leaving my money with a bank with this kind of attitude. If the bank is comfortable with inconveniencing their users for 9 weeks I will also be comfortable with transferring my money out.

The DBS and POSB Digibank Apps freeze and hanged

Hi,
Please kindly get both the digibank apps rectify as it keeps freezing and hanged whenever I try to boot up the login page of the app. It is really very frustrating to use your banks’ apps these days. I do not encounter such issue with other banks’ apps. The login page simply cannot boot up properly, probably due the high memory consumption of the moving background of the app. The other banks’ background apps are all stationary and they do not have such issue at all.
I am using iPhone 6s Plus. Please get it rectified quickly as this issue has been there for months.
If I can rate it without a star, I will not give any stars at all as it is really a very lousy app.

Digital Token not working properly after last update

After last update i am noticing that digital token is not working properly. When i login to ibanking from desktop browser, to access any feature for first time after login it ask for authentication which comes in digibank app on my mobile where i need to approve. Recently when i get notification to approve on my mobile after i open app it does not go directly to the approve or reject page rather i need to refresh the page on mobile app n then it shows. This was not the case a month ago also. I have tried to reinstall app , restarted mobile but still same. Fix this issue.

Excellent App

By far the best Internet Banking app available in Singapore. The interface is refreshing, easy to use, and the functionalities available through the app are far superior to others.
However, to echo previous recent reviews - there’s room for improvement. A lot more technical issues after recent updates.
- SMS OTP is still required despite digital token activated and paired.
- App encounters technical difficulties much more often now whilst performing transactions.
- Previously, if one leaves the app momentarily and comes back to it, the app will log you out and requests you to log in again, which is understandable given the security measures. However, with the recent updates, it doesn’t do so and it allows you to navigate all around the app and when you finally make a transaction/request, it’ll log you out and make you go through the trouble of doing everything again.
An excellent app overall. Very satisfied.

Technical issues renders this app pretty useless

The app works well when all is good.
However for some reason it started giving this “system encountered a momentarily technical difficulty whilst performing this transaction” alert when I logged in. Deleting the app and re-installing it didn’t solve the issue. With a non-functional app, using ibanking on the website becomes impossible as well since it requires the digital token for authentication. The email function is also inaccessible due to the need for authentication. The call centre is not useful at all since I’ve been waiting for someone to attend to the call (gave up after 15 min). There’s no way for customers to reach out at all and this is ridiculous.
At the very least, you could provide an option for using SMS OTP. Pls resolve the “momentary” technical issue. Thanks.

Unable to login (repeated digibank alert pop ups)

I’ve been facing an irritating issue of having repeated “digibank Alert: We have sorted it out. Please try again now.” popups with every single step of my transactions right from trying to login, which I have to click through multiple times, and only some random times I’ll finally be able to proceed.
I can login on my computer but once past the login page, I’ll need to input the digital token OTP and I get popups (digibank Alert: Please hold, Service in progress) from trying to use the digital token on the app as well.
I’ve already called the customer service hotline, was instructed to delete the app and reinstall which the officer said “will definitely solve the issue” - I’ve done it but the issue still persists, and I’ve been too busy to call and be put on hold again.
I suspect it may be that the app is no longer supported by older iPhones (I’m using iPhone 7), which I did mention to the officer but he said it’s not an issue.
I hope someone on the app development team will please read this and resolve the issue ASAP. Thanks.

Inflates download numbers with too many updates

App works fine. But it is supremely annoying that this app is constantly forcing you to download update after update when all the updates are minor and don’t change user experience in anyway, in a ploy to boost their download numbers and AppStore rankings. STOP IT WITH THE UNNECESSARY COMPULSORY UPDATES. You do NOT need 3 updates in a month, every month, unless your banking app security is so terrible that you need to fix it almost weekly? In which case DBS has bigger issues than the app. You only need to make updates compulsory for important security or UI issues, not every single minor tweak. And for the stupid corporate bosses who think app downloads are a good KPI - do you think this is angry birds or Pokémon go or something? Go use number of transactions or $ transacted on the app instead of downloads. It is expected that with utility apps like these people will download once and that’s it. Play dumb games, win dumb prizes, so here’s your 1 star review for all the compulsory unnecessary phone clogging updates, hope you like it.

DBS has consistently delivered a fantastic app experience. It is by far the most user friendly and functional mobile banking app in Singapore. Other local banks like UOB and OCBC should be ashamed of themselves. Even Citibank can take a backseat here. Yes I’ve used all their apps before.
This day and age, you want as few headaches as possible. If you want to have a good banking experience, I highly recommend DBS as your primary bank. All other mobile banking experiences are utter crap. Shame on them.

Works well enough

Security seems fine, the only thing I’m concerned about. As long as there aren’t any lapses there I’m fine with the confusing UI which doesn’t take long to learn.
Logins, transfers and changes are quick and snappy and I haven’t encountered any bugs yet. Until I do I’m just going to laugh at all these one star ratings. Any official app from any big company are usually filled to the brim with these demanding 1-star reviews anyway, better to just learn to live with the bugs.

Best banking app I have ever used

I am quite interested in e banking and banking in general, having tested literally dozens of bank accounts in several countries I lived in. The DBS app is the best banking app I have ever used. Not because it’s overly pretty. It doesn’t have to be. But because of the wide range of functions that simply all work. Rarely have I encountered any problem. Even the usually useless Chatbot is able to do meaningful tasks here, such as cancelling credit cards.

The overall app and functionality is good and user friendly. However I find that the review of last transaction is rather short for 2 months. It will be great if it could cater for for 3 months. Since this is a fund transfer app, it would be good if the app could provide checking of account numbers, so that we could quickly single out the transaction detail of a particular account number.

Confusing UI. Digibot help useless

Wanted to set up a recurring funds transfer. Could not seem to find a way to set it up. Asked the chat bot “digibot” how to do a recurring internal transfer. It kept saying to go to “transfer” and select “more services”. Could not find such an option under transfer. Asked where I can find the “more services” option, and it kept saying it’s on the “top left” when there was no such option to select. Very frustrating. Also, the new interface is a lot more confusing than the old one. Too many drop down selections. For example most of my personal accounts hidden in a drop down menu when I personally would like to see all of them in one go when I log in. Interface is also very clumsy. Can we have the old user interface back? It was much better and simpler to use then!!

Digital token doesn’t work- the previous version did

The current digital token often hangs and cancels my attempt to authenticate my translation . More than 50% of the time.
It wasn’t always so. The previous version worked fine— the one that had a circular icon . Why change something when it worked perfectly fine? Shout out to the overworked dbs IT engineers for racing to keep changing the interface, because a decision maker thought it should be done.
Please make something that works simply and without fuss. There is no need to keep innovating ad naseum, every few months. Customers need time to catch up and enjoy using the new interface!
